So what's your worst fear while riding?

One of mine is hitting oil and dropping the bike at speed. I came face to face with it a couple of hours ago.

Getting off the freeway to put gas in, the car 2 cars in front of me hit a pothole and drained his entire oil pan. I didn't get to see this until my front wheel was about to hit the biggest oil spill this side of Alaska. Well to make a long story short the front tucked immediately and both me and the bike slid about 100 feet face first in oil that was long overdue for a change.

I'm fine, I was wearing full gear, not a scratch on me just pissed. The bike is a little scratched up but otherwise ok. I'll post more details and pics later.

Yeah, his car didn't run too good with no oil in it. He was nice about it and the cop that showed up was great too. He made a point if calling the guy's insurance and making sure they knew it was his fault

Sucktastic!

Bad news, but at least you're still in one piece, and the bike isn't too badly damaged.

Glad to hear/see that you are ok.  Any idea how the bike is going to fare through this?

Sorry to hear that.  I ran thru a oil spill about 2 months ago and that scared the crap out of me.  I posted my experience in "I saved it" section.

Damn it bro!  Glad you were geared up. Good to hear the Leo was on your side and the dead car didn't make it too far.

There are few things scarier than watching the person you love come into your bedroom to wake you up covered in sticky black gunk and saying "Ok, Don't freak out..." oil and blood look far too much alike.

What Matador forgot to mention is that he was on MY bike (i.e. his former bike) and not the S2R.
It has not been a good summer for bikes owned by me  bang head
