Been trying to reach the shop for a few days, but calls go immediately to a recording.  What gives?

Any other reputable independent Duc-tors in the San Fernando area?

Had a nice chat with Nick.  I'm meeting the seller of the S2R8 I'm buying at  VDS and Nick will inspect it for me.  If all goes well and the sale is made, I'll leave it there for a tune up.

Everytime my bike comes back from Nick, it gets better and better!  You'll like his work.   waytogo

Speaking of Nick, I gotta call him to do some work on my front forks...

I met Nick this afternoon, when he performed an inspection on the S2R I bought 30 minutes later.  Very nice guy!  after the seller left, I hung around for a bit discussing what needed to be done to the bike and in what sort of priority.  I left it with him for valve adjustments and new belts.  After his inspection, I took it out for a spin.  Obviously not the best neighborhood to speed around through (I swear two drivers pulled lefties in front of me!  welcome back to bikes!!), but i got a taste of things to come...and it tasted MEATY!  I'll be picking up next Friday.  Going to be a long week...

And here is the first picture taken of me on the Duc (I wore full kit for the test ride)

Congrats! Beautiful! I almost stopped by the shop today because I occasionally work at an office within walking distance. I would have been happy to test ride your new bike for you... just to make sure everything was ok... riiiight  Grin

nick is probably one of the most honest and accomodating independent motorcycle mechanics around.

I have never seen one bad comment on this board about valley ducati service, and if you know this board if someone has a problem with something they are going to b&tch about it A LOT and LOUDLY on this board.

that has never happened with valley ducati or nick.

the only other person i know of that is of the same professionalim is stu of flightcycles.
enjoy the new bike and ride safe.

Anyone know if Nick's gotten his hands on a 696 yet?  I'm due for 7500 mi service about next month and wanted to avoid the stealer fee levels, plus get peace of mind for a job very well done... just changed the oil last week.

Plus, if I'm going to go out of my way, might as well have a fun ride over there.

I'm not sure but earlier he had an offer out for a free oil change to the first person to give him a 696 to work on so that he could get experience on them.
