I would have agreed and still do about the air-cooled bikes they are junk but the water cooled bikes are not bad. I still prefer Ducati with my second choice being KTM but not bad.

Heehee, always the minority, I recently saw a 1125CR and was pretty impressed. They're not nearly as hideous in person as in pics. I'd take one for the stable without question.

I've only seen the all black one, and I thought the huge 'shoulders' looked like they blended in because of the all-black of the bike. The red ones stand out even more to me.

I hate all those magazine comparisons that don't quantify what criteria they're using to judge the bikes against. If they're really judging which bike it the "best streetfighter" they needed to measure:
1. Which one was fastest getting from the house to the office/other personal destination in urban area.
2. Number of heads turned as bike rolls past a crowd in an urban area
3. Ease and length of "wheelie"
4. How many times the new owner gets up in the middle of the night, flicks on the lights in his/her garage and smiles.
I'd take the SF over the Buell if only to never have to set foot in a Harley dealer for service.

Really? Why? What happened to you when you went into a Harley dealership?

He came out with 3 H-D bandanas, 2 H-D t-shirts, and H-D chaps.
All he wanted was a quart of oil.

The Harley dealer here doesn't want anything to do with you unless you're there to drop $30K on a new Road Glide.

And the Ducati dealer gives you milk and cookies when you show up?

Where's here? Just trying to understand your bad experience. Thats definately not the norm on my side of the country. Hell, around here most of the employees go out to see the Ducati when they hear there's one in the parking lot.

I've yet to go into a motorcycle dealer and have an excellent experience, but the Ducati dealer at least came out and talked to me, gave me the info I wanted and has been decent at post sales parts orders and such.
When I went to the Harley dealer, I was sitting on a Buell XB12 and waiving at the sales people for 10 minutes with zero attention. So, I left and wet and bought my Monster. Same thing happened a couple years ago when I went to look at the Ulysses.
I used to own a Harley, which I bought from the same dealer several years ago. When you sit on a Harley there is someone at your side willing to help you out in about 10 seconds. Going into the Buell section was like entering another world that they didn't want any part of.

Seriously? thats not cool (but kind of a funny visual).
The dealership owner I worked for for 9 years was on the Buell advisory board, and sport(style)bikes were a big part of our dealership.
I spent many weeks at the Buell plant & have had a bike on the cover of battle2win magazine that I thought looked pretty damn cool & put out 93ft. lbs. of torque.
I am truely sorry for your bad experience.

Eh, I'm not a hater. If I wanted a Harley I'd still go back there. My uncle has friends out west who say they were selling the crap out of Buells at their dealers before the current monetary woes.

And actually, they do. Krispy Kremes at that.
