Just tried out 2 new tracks here in NY at Monticello. Did south the first day (where this video is from) and did north the next day.

North is awesome and right up there with the ATF's. Hope to do that one again soon.

Here's a video of a jackass not following any rules for pitting out. If you look up ignorance in the dictionary this fools picture will be next to the definition.

And again, the North course was awesome!

Yes, I spoke to him in a non confrontational way (believe it or not) and also the control rider(s) spoke with him.
He was a bit ignorant and also seemed hard headed, but that's a problem for the control riders not me.

It's being discussed now by the people who run that org. I leave it in their hands completely.


I'm just happy nothing worse happened, cause that woulda hurt!

Holy fack!!!  That's some dangerous shit.  I assume they covered how to enter/exit during in the riders' meeting?

I woulda said something as well, first to him and then immediately following to the provider, but I'm pretty sure no matter how hard I tried it wouldn't have been non-confrontational.  That move should have ended his day with that provider and, depending on how responded, ended his involvement with that provider.  You get to be ignorant once when it endangers others.  But you don't get to be hard-headed about acting like an asshole.

Did you guys talk to him after the last incident, or did he do this even after being talked to?

At my home track, (B.I.R.) we have the fastest turn in N. America. It's at the end of a mile long straight, and it's banked real high. Miguel was clocked mid turn at something like 198mph  (can't remember exactly), the last time AMA ran here in '04. So we routinely have guys taking the turn at over 170mph. easy. The problem is, the pit out, (entrance to the track) is right before turn one. So you are getting on the track at the outside of the turn. During Friday practice, racers are good about staying high and off the race line until T2. During trackdays, it can get scary because there are dumbasses that will drop right into the race line at approx. 80mph.
They might take a quick look over the shoulder and not see someone coming so they think that it's ok. Problem is, you can't really see someone that is closing in on you at 170+ mph. until it's too late. If someone is caught doing this, they are talked to very seriously and if it happens twice...bye bye.

shit happens! but for me, it's how said shit is handled that determines where I want to be.

Hey Dan,

I thought the south course was very small. The lap was over almost as fast as it started. It had some nice little sections though.

 I very much prefered the North course (run backwards CCW) as it had everything.

We ran the south course the first day 9/6 (that vid was intermediate) and then the next day on the north course (that was advanced). I think both courses flowed well overall though.

Yeah, I think the South was a bit short too (I was running in N until I got bumped right at the end). North course looks like more fun. I've signed up for the full course on 10/12, you guys going?

Still think that guy should have been booted for getting off like that.
