Apparently the HI light comes on at 330
I got nervous when mine got to 257.
On your air cooled bikes that's the # for the light, and still it doesn't mean your bike is about to ignite, it's more like an "Idiot" light on a car. It's telling you if you haven't noticed "Your leathers are melting to the frame!". Air cooled bikes show big #'s and are made to do it. I remember very, very few twins (Euro or US) that were sold in the past 15 years that heat was the killing machine. Your mid to high 200 numbers are fantastic. Water cooled...Not so much.
Simple rules: Key words, Air cooled. If you are in traffic, use the least amount of throttle as
possible...without torturing your clutch (Imagine how upset it is?).
Whats up with all the revin'?
oops, wrong brand
Heat (that you feel) is good. If you don't feel it, guess where it's staying?
That = Not good.
