that's misleading.

Those are just suppliers; doesn't mean the supplier is the manufacturer.

I know the starter's are made in Japan by Denso; along with the alternator or whatever that large "wheel" is inside the alternator case. I have mine open right now and says Denso Japan on it. Maybe the newer ones aren't, who knows.

If you use one of my employers products it was probably made here, assembled in Mexico, then shipped back here. Still says made in Mexico, but the packaging would make you believe it was made here.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

who cares.

My point still stands.

They list those "suppliers"

suppliers are not manufactures. Sure, they could be but highly unlikely.

I have stated multiple times I dont know shit about bikes. This is a huge undertaking for me to pull the starter.

Nah, not really.

Kind of scary that my bike is sort of in pieces now.

hopefully I'll get the starter back today and can get it back together.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!

This is a silly question...

You go far enough down the supply chain and NOTHING is made in italy. Italy doesn't mine/refine any Steel or Petroleum products.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Italy#Mineral_resources_and_energy

Ducati has outsourced the vital functions of open pit mining and crude oil pumping and refining. bastards!
