How much of Ducati is Italian made?
«

Not just assembled , but actually made in Italy.
I know the Showa forks and Bridgestone tires are Japanese made, but besides the frame and engine, are there any components, parts such as any electronic parts, footpegs, hand levers, plastic parts and all that that may be made in China, the USA, or anywhere else.

Are you talking the older Ducati's or the "new design" Ducati's ala HyperMotard, StreetFighter, 696/1100, 848/1098/1198? The content of European -vs- International changed with the newer designs from what I understand. (mostly to drive manufacturing costs lower and keep the sales price closer to the previous models)

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

It's difficult to find parts made and assembled within one country. Even if the brakes are Brembo, I doubt it's made in Italy. Probably Poland, Czech, or some other Euro nations where labor is cheap. In the US, the Toyota Camry is probably the most American car in the market. Designed and assembled here. I think the tranny is still made in Japan...
