The incident began just after 2 p.m., when the CHP spotted the driver of the motorcycle, registered in San Francisco, traveling north on Highway 101 in Mill Valley at speeds in excess of 100 mph.
Authorities attempted a traffic stop at the Tamalpais Drive exit, but the rider took off, exiting the freeway at Bellam Boulevard in San Rafael. The driver led police north through Central San Rafael and into a neighborhood before turning south again, re-entering the freeway at Central San Rafael. In Corte Madera, the motorcyclist briefly exited the freeway before getting back on Highway 101 going south and then took the Highway 1 exit.
Authorities, who had lost sight of the motorcyclist, began a search, using a CHP helicopter to try to locate the suspect from the sky. During the search, a resident on the 200 block of Tennessee Valley Road called to report the abandoned motorcycle in the homeowner's front yard.
The hunt was called off just after 3 p.m. No arrests were made.

Well that explains a lot. F'in CHP helicopters were circling the house for about an hour yesterday.
I can think of a million better places to ditch a bike than somebody's front yard

Well at least I got away safe. My thanks to John C for the ride. Sorry about the dent in your tank. Oh you need to call Red Hill towing to pick up your bike.

the police report indicates a ducati registered in san francisco ... that would exclude sig. moore ... and include dq as a prime suspect.

I'm waiting to see the "I didn't do it, no one saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!" Bart Simpson quote.
