After the winner was anounced people headed out but a few stuck around for more burnouts, etc.  I was talking to my buddy Bill over by the portajohns while a guy was smoking his tire pretty well, I think it was an I-4 motor.  Anyway someone throws a M-80 and when it went off the guy doing the burnout got spooked and somehow the bike gets away from him.  He was on the side where the bikes were displayed, shoots out toward the street cutting diagional across the parking lot, makes it between two of the hydrobarriers and slams into some parked bikes and a minivan; motocarnage.  The guys was ok but you want to talk about lucky!  I can't believe no one was hurt and that it doesn't happen more often.  I do believe my buddy got it on video and so watch this spot.

Damn!  Any pics?

There was one guy doing "burnouts" in the driveway near where I was parked.  He looked like he didn't know what he was doing or his brakes were too crappy.  I actually moved my bike back and stood between him and my bike.

Glad to hear everyone was OK.

While leaving, I noticed 5-6 cops up the hill watching the action. Glad they didn't come down and bust people.

yeah, lots of cops this year.  I left soon after the wreck but there were still 100+ people around and the ass-hatery will in full bloom.  The guy with the trike was blasting up and down the street and I thought he'd hit something.

When we left, it was right after a big group (a bunch of rat HDs).  I told my buddy to hang back a bit until they were a block away before we took off so as to not get caught up in that.
