What are the options out there? I haven't found too many. I am not really interested in CF.

There's SpeedyMoto, and Rizoma as billet options. That's what is on my M900:

When I first got them and the VeeTwo Adjustable pulleys:

I got mine from PJ's

Other people mod the stock covers. That was not for me.

Those pulleys are nice.  It would be a shame to hide them.  Looks great!

If you are senselessly pretty pulley-less, I might suggest the SpeedyMoto covers, which cover the pulley behind some attractive billet hiding the less attractive factory or even STM adj. pulleys.

I went with windows and thus Rizoma, just for that reason. Gotta show 'em.

If you like to work on stuff and want something affordable, you can try to make your own covers out of the stock ones. Mine cost me a total of $30 and i had a blast making them and was so happy with the result!!!  waytogo

Check it out:

Uh...people don't really replace 'em with another solid except for carbon fiber. there aren't, to my knowledge, a solid billet option.

I mean, except speedymoto, which is kind of 'obstructed', yet open. Can't see the pulleys very well, but can see the belts and rollers (which, I might note, have been reported to be somewhat rust prone in seaside environments, but I have no fhe there).

That's like the cheapest. Be on the look out for different styles: There's ones that are multiple piece horizontal covers, and solid horizontal. You might be able to find used stock covers for pretty cheap in the classifieds and on eBay.

How about just spray paint some black BBQ paint on it.  Works for me.

the best covers are the ones left behind in your parts bin.  Run without!

I decided to just get replacement stock bits in the end. I might paint them at some point but it's not a priority. Who knows what the PO was thinking when s/he took a dremel to the covers. They were pretty ugly looking slots!
