Favorite convo i read on this board
"PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"
"F**K U IT HAPPENED"

Suzuki Blvd M109R " Sliver " = assassinated by cager
PW 696 " Pearl " = traded in
M1100 " Loki " = Viking God of mischief ( Goddess in this case )
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!

Yeah, kinda. It's sometimes nice to have exclusivity. . .and to recognize and appreciate the tastes of others. I have a Suzuki VStrom & there is kind of a secret wave w/ those so I thought maybe the fist guy was doing his thing.

You mean I rode all the way from NM to Alaska on my VStrom and didn't even know about this??  What the...??  >:(  I guess I should have updated MY contact info too.   :P

Wasn't there a list of hand signs on TOB for different messages (like 'cops', 'danger' etc.)
I know cops is the pat on the head(helmet), that I pay attention to. What are the others?

And that's the only one that matters.   [thumbsup]

It sucks how few people know this one... at least around here...
Saw some younger fellows on kawayamzuki's flying down a road that I had recently passed a cop on.. gave them the pat on the head, and even a high-beam flash... only to find them pulled over on my way back through. Failblog.

Some people will also do the "circle" finger in the air meaning the same thing.  I think those sport bike riders will be watching more attentively from now on...

The fist comes from trail riding. It can be dangerous when you pass other bikes around narrow blind corners, so it is common courtesy to let oncoming traffic know how many riders to expect behind you.

e.g. if you are leading a group of 4 (including yourself), you hold up three fingers; if you are alone or the last in a group you hold out a fist.

Not sure where I picked it up (Stromtroopers?) but the peace sign upright looks like a "V" so. . .now you're in the club!

Well I guess that kills my new Ducati wave: "the fist". It looks like a "D"!

in italy they hold up their fingers in an 'L' for the L twin.

(well...not all of them...but i did see a few people do it)  ;)

[cheeky] riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!  [evil]

I just stick to the drop two fingers bit. It's pretty common from everyone that I've seen.

I thought putting a leg out meant to watch for objects in the road, like tree branches, animals, gravel, or zombies.
Some people are like slinky's.  They serve absolutely no purpose, but they always bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Usually, but it could also mean Rossi (or Stoner if he is healthy) is entering a turn... a supermoto rider is making a turn...  :D Sorry, couldn't resist.
