Saw a red 848 while leaving the white house egg roll.......rider had a greyish/blackish jacket and a gopro mounted on his helmet.

Also saw a red 848 crossing 355 by Parkside apartments near the Grosvenor metro.

When: Last night around 7:15 PM
Where: 395 southbound, crossing the bridge from DC to VA, from just before the HOV split to just past the Pentagon
What: White on red current gen Monster with aftermarket exhaust. Rider wearing a black Alpinestars jacket and a black helmet with some sort of skull & crossbones sticker on the back.

Generally if I hear another Duc it's over the exhaust and clatter of my bike, so it's nice to hear one a bit more clearly. You were riding fairly "maturely" though, so I only got to hear one or two small cracks of the throttle.  Wink

That was me.  I try not to speed on that stretch.  It can be pretty dangerous because there are constant backups and people decide to shoot over multiple lanes to get to the HOV at the last moment.

You'll get no arguments from me on how messy that area can be, although it certainly is better after 7 PM.  My office location just moved from Old Town to near the Nats ballpark. I live west of Old Town in the City of Alelxandria and my commute traded a few miles on Duke Street for 7+ miles on 395.  Almost everything about the move has been good, but the commute sucks. I've walked to work half of my career and rarely had to use a freeway. bang head

Nice bike. waytogo

I actually just moved next to the Nats park like 6 months ago.  My commute is so short that it's kind of a joke for me to ride to work (2 miles), but I still do it sometimes for the hell of it.

Yellow DSS monster and 900SS leaving my building. I should really take a tour through the lower floors of my parking garage...it seems to be a real bike fest down there!

I rarely commuted by bike when I worked in Old Town.  By the time I geared up, uncovered and unlocked the bike and rolled down the driveway, I would have already been to work in the car.  It's also not like I was missing an exciting ride on Duke Street and through Old Town either.  Now that I have a longer commute (my office is in 100M) and my motorcycle will give me access to HOV, it looks like it's time to reconsider.   Dolph
