Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Just got back to work. had to leave the bike on the side of the road. not sure what happened. Oil levels looked suspiciously low. level in sight glass was below half way with the bike completely upright. couldnt see any oil on the sight glass on the transmission side of the bike at all. Looked and rode fine this morning. Have been noticing that the bike was not shifting as smoothly as always. Getting it towed to coleman (closest to DC) since I just moved and have absolutely no tools or the time to work on the bike and they did the last service. considering they changed the oil less than 2-3 weeks ago, I'm thinking they F'd something up.

Did you look at it while it was running or stopped.  Correct method is to stop and let it sit for about an hour, then check it.  I used to use a small spirit level on the gas tank filler to make sure I had it straight, because you think it is and it's 5 deg off an it looks overfull or empty.

Transmission side...??

Do you mean the timing inspection glass?  I hope you don't see oil there.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Stopped the bike and let it sit for about 15 min and then looked at it. Im pretty sure I got it straight up. Had someone else look at it while I stood the bike up. And yes, I realize now after reading a little what the other sight glass is for.

But my question is what could have made the bike seize like that? It cranked and i gave it some gas and it move a little and then coughed sputtered and lost all power (not electrical but mechanical).
Ran fine this morning on the way into work. Noticed some scratchiness while shifting gears over the last couple days. Also have been hearing some clicking that I couldnt resolve to the the front end, rear, chain or sprocket.
Since Coleman did the service recently, I sent it over to them. Lets see what they say
