All you need...

« on: September 21, 2009, 06:41:53 PM »

If I have my facts correct, it looks like a CRA weekend at Brainerd on Sep 25-27.
I haven't done much of anything on the bike this year, so I may pack the camping gear on, and ride up on Saturday.
Anyone else happen to be riding up?
I suppose the smart people haul their race bikes up and ride the track.  Much better idea.  Maybe someday.

Anyway, it would be cool to run into some of you (figuratively) up there.

Yes, this weekend. At least 4 of us from this forum will be pitted in Garage A.

It's the last race weekend of the year. Saturday is lots of sprint races and Sunday is the 5 hr. endurance. So spectating is better on Saturday, because 5 hrs. of watching bikes go around gets confusing since you don't know who is in the lead until the end. If you are there on Sunday, we will probably put you to work on the pit crew doing pit stops. (fuel, rider change as fast as possible)

So anyone that wants to spectate, come on up! Geoff will be wrapping up his point standings and should be earning his expert status. I will be racing to defend my point standings. If I can hang on to where I'm at now, I'll be finishing up the season with a top 10 expert, so I'm hoping to run a single digit plate for next year.

Geoff will be racing the 5 hr. on his Monster with two other riders, and I'll be doing it on Mark's 900SS with three other riders. We both have a great shot of winning our class.

What a weekend.  The craziest weather I've ever ridden in.  I think both of us secured our single didgit plates in our respected classes.  Plus I just saw that a certain ul team did 1 more lap then a certain lw team in the endurance. cheeky bacon

And that certain LW team also trashed a 900SS motor. That's right, hard parts collided.  bang head Mark just found out...waiting to hear the bad news on $$.
