I'm riding into work yesterday evening, and as usual I take the Octavia St. exit. If you're familiar with the left turn onto Fell, you might know that you can in fact continue on straight past the little park, although you do have to watch out for idiot drivers in the far right street blowing through their flashing red light and mowing you down. And, indeed, a surly idiot in a grey van did just that. I was in no danger, saw it coming, let him go ahead of me, and gave him a nice long beeep with my anemic little ducati horn just to let him know I was there. It sounds like the last gasp of the "what noise does the Sheep make" on that pull-string toy all my friends had when I was a kid.

Guy scowls at me, I'm make a "What?!" gesture, he speeds off (there's never a cop when you really want one), and I continue on my merry way.
At the stop sign to turn onto Hayes, this dude on a
scooter, all geared up in a leather vest and beanie helmet, pulls up next to me and says, "Way to ride, Sister! Yeah!" Like I popped a wheelie after bashing the van driver's window in with my studded leather boots.
I look at him, and I'm thinking, did he forget that he's not on the Harley today? Then, wow, his teeth are
really yellow....

Still, made me laugh, can't ask for more than that.
