Hi all,

I have been looking at getting a Dainese Back Proctector to wear under my jackets.  My leather Alpine Star jacket has a pretty basic protector in it and my Dainese Mesh jacket has one of their good honeycomb style protector in it.  I am looking at getting the Wave 2 I think it is.  The one with elastic shoulder straps and the velcro style kidney belt.

Just wondering before I part with $269 whether anyone has experience with the Wave 2 style Dainese protector.  I have heard they are great on long rides like I will be doing to the MotoGP from Adelaide.

Opinions please.

I've got one. Nice and comfy, I don't even know it's there most of the time.  waytogo
They are not very bulky, but if your jackets are tight, I would take them both into a shop and try on the protector under both jackets.

my dainese jacket has the protector pop clipped in under the lining, i think it's a wave 2, it looks the same as the one you can buy seperately anyway. i don't even give it a thought, it is that comfortable.

It's surprisingly comfortable, but I notice it's there on the really hot days - depends on what I wear underneath.

Size Large fits me - I'm 6'4"

AU $ 269 is about 50% more than the average European price tag. Dealers in Europe deduct the local VAT, makes it even less, but then there is shipping of course. Just thought it was worth mentioning....
