To bad the black paint is only offered on the S. It's the same pearl that the white has they shot it on my trellis frame.
I'm considering swaping my lower red panels out with some black ones down the road to give the bike a more naked apperance. They are the most recogniseable feature from a distance I know a streetfighter when I see that piece.
Today I re-located those silver frame stickers to under the rear seat battery area, much cleaner looking now.
Nobody cares about the db rating, tire pressure, chain tension but me so only I can read them now.
decisions, decisions. Nice kind of problem.
Few ideas for you.
Switched the lower fairing to carbon and replaced the clutch with Surflex slipper. Changed the rear sprocket (1 tooth up), carrier, cover and axle nut to black.

That is one sick SF I saw those rims when I was riding the 696 and was really jelious.
The lower fairing looks great in carbon did it go from 2 pieces into one that way, who make that part?
Some of the better looking mirrors I've seen too, already clipped a cars with mickeys ear.
Is that your bike?
One of my friends that prefers this bike the 696 seat cowl was just too hard to get on and off in a hurry.

I bought the CF belt covers from Shift-Tech. I believe its the same as the 1098.
Nakedsuperbiker: The cf lower fairing is one piece (stock is one piece also, just not painted all the way) and a direct bolt on. Yes, its my SF and I get all my parts from Motowheels and Shift-Tech.

Sure I do but you would think within 2cc's of each other there would be some more similarities
My S4Rs streetbike has 998cc and makes 133 rwhp on my race shop's dyno.
My 1000SS trackbike has 992cc (6cc's less) and makes 87 rwhp on the same dyno.
That's a difference of 46 horsepower at the rear wheel. In other words, the S4Rs makes MORE than 50% more horsepower than the 1000SS.
Liquid cooling and four valves per cylinder and a MUCH more oversquare bore/stroke ratio (the S4Rs engine is 100mm bore by 63.5 mm stroke while the 1000SS is 94mm bore by 71.5mm stroke) makes a HUGE difference in the motors.
The 1000SS is no dog, though. It makes almost the same torque as the S4Rs, and mine weighs 347 pounds, so it accelerates from a stop like the proverbial freight train.

Freight train or drag bike?
The torque and accelleration from any 1000cc bike is adrenalizing.

An article in the Jun 09 Motorcyclist mag refers to the Streetfighter as stripped down superbike comparing it to the 1098.
