For those of you who want a place to right and are itching to get out, all of the above are open. At least from the Azusa exit up Hwy 39.

I was out today scouting to see what was open. I was up there around 7:45 this morning. By the time I crossed the bridge I was a little chilly.

Ride safe!!!

They're doing rail work on the 39 and in the mid-day hours it will be 1 lane only for a few miles. Rail work stops at 4 on weekdays and is not on weekends so presumably you'll get use of both lanes during those times. Also, on the actual Azusa/ GMR routes they're doing some patchwork. on the cliff-side lanes. Watch for slow vehicles like tractors for at least another week. Oh, and the gate on the GMR side might be half closed with a car (guard) blocking one lane and thinking that the road is closed to thru traffic.

Rode the 39 to east fork and up to Ridge Route (sorry, that's what it was called in the 80s), then over to Baldy yesterday.  Hadnt been up there in years. GRR was a hoot!!!  Back in the day (I grew up in Upland, folks still there) it was a broken, washed out, land-slid mess!  Now it's all smooth and shiny.  Would be a blast if it werent for Subie drivers prentending they were running a tarmac special stage (fortunately, I saw them coming from a few turns away).
