Engine immobilized...
«

I bought a used ducati a while ago and today it seems the bike won't start, apparently from the engine immobilizer.
I didn't get the code card when I got the bike. I tried all 3 keys, same thing. The security light blinks twice then stays solid.
What can I do?

Also the service dept said the wire must be loose then. I can't find the wire, everything looks tight.

Possibly the antenna for the immobilizer has come loose inside the plastic key surround.
Or it's unplugged.
Or it's broken.

Is it easy to check? I'm back at home and my bike is a few miles away. What do I need to check?

It takes a 10mm socket to remove the nuts that hold the key surround on.
I'd say a 6" extension and ratchet along with the socket.

Thanks, will open it tomorrow.
Is there any way to get the code card information? The seller did not give it to me.
Also is there a diagram showing which is the antenna? And if the antenna is connected, the red key definitely should turn it over right?

any tips on getting the code? Is it possible to read it off the red key? the seller just ignored me when I asked for it.
