I love FPS games (remember FPS Doug?)

I love the Halo games (yet to play H3) and Doom3

I loved the Quake games back in the day, and I remember Half Life was along those lines but never played it.

I searched for "xbox 360 best fps games" and

The Orange Box came up.

http://www.amazon.com/Orange-Box-Xbox-360/dp/B000R0PLK2

Looks like you get a few HL type games on one disc.

Anyone play this, or the Half Life games?  Were they good?

Half-life is excellent.  Not sure how the graphics will look on an X-box.

If you can, try and track down a copy of bioshock.  waytogo

Bioshock was excellent. Along those lines, if you missed playing, and can track down a copy of System Shock 2 it's amazing. The graphics will look like crap, and good luck getting it to run on something, but it's one of the best games I've ever played.

Half Life and Half Life 2 were great. Never played Portal, but I hear fun things.

I played the shit out of Team Fortress on QuakeWorld, back in the day, but have never played TF2. I have friends who say good things, though.

If you like FPS Half Life Orange box is a must buy!!!

Looks really decent on the Xbox.

Portal is amazing. Addicting puzzle game with witty humor on the way. One of the best video game endings of all time IMO.

Half Life was GREAT!!! I will always be a fan of Doom 1-3.  Castle Wolfenstein wasn't bad either.  Pretty sure they remade it later w/ better graphics and such.

I do have Bioshock and it was awesome!

Sounds like I should orange box. It was pretty cheap on amazon too waytogo

Doom 3 was great too!  Very tense game. Very intense game.

So what other fps games are must haves?

I just picked up Halo 3: ODST.
By far my favorite shooter yet. And yes, I have played HalfLife & HL2, etc. etc.
If you're on a 360, get ODST, you won't be disappointed.

For the cost, probably can't beat the Orange Box. If you get it, be sure to play portal and take some time to listen to what the computer is saying in the levels, you'll get some laughs

I've been an avid FPS player since ~ '97 or so.  LOVED all the quake games, the DOOMs, ok pretty much all the id software titles.  Also really enjoyed other titles such as the serious sam games, soldier of fortune, painkiller, etc.  I like FPSs.

Anyways, I remember half-life being lauded as such a great game and such back in its day, but for some reason or another I overlooked it.  It wasn't until I was gifted a copy of half-life2 that I got to experience crow-barring my way through the combine invasion.  Holy shit, this was the best FPS experience ever.  one of the only games I've ever played through more than 2 times.  The pacing and presentation and storyline are all top-notch.  episode 1 and episode 2 maintain these great qualities.  it was enough to make me go ahead and buy a copy of the original half-life, which in itself turned out to be a great game, especially considering the point in time in which it came out.

If you like FPS games, and have never played half-life, you must, MUST get the orange box.

Done with ODST. Can't wait for CoD MW2. I'm still playing CoD4. WaW was ok. I'm always up to play some fire fight in ODST. Drop me a friend's invite "DucatiRican".
