Maybe you're missing the point.

during my dealings with these two dealerships i got the impression that there were doing shady business. as a customer i was lied to and stolen from on multiple occasions. i think its karma.

so you claim you were lied to and stolen from, but you only got the impression they were doing "shady business"

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Back on to CARB - I'm not sure I understand the point of the regulations if off-road vehicles are not subject to the emissions standard?

Secondly, I do not like that products I might buy in Texas or Tennessee have the CARB sticker on them. I'm ok with a few manufacturers stickers on a product, maybe a few warnings for the idiots, though I think they should all be left in the instruction manual --> But absurd government compliance stickers for something that I'm not subject to, nor care about is silly. I'm not even sure if the stickers are required in California, but rather that the vehicle is compliant.

This vehicle was a Honda 'ski for those who are wondering what I'm talking about.

the belief (rightly so) is that fewer people will buy them if they are off-road only.

if you have an off-road bike, you need to trailer it to your destination, unless you're riding in your backyard.

if you have an on-road legal dirtbike, you can ride it to your destination and go from there.
