I used to work with an individual that had an ashtray on a metric cruiser.

Whats the weirdest cycle accessory I've seen?
Training wheels. Definitely, training wheels (NOT a trike) on a H-D.

The local Victory dealer seems to do a brisk business in those -- he's always got a couple of Eight Balls or Kingpins out front with them installed.
The weirdest application I've ever seen, though was on the interstate between Tucson & Phoenix as I overtook a bike with these training wheels. The whole scene was a bizarre slow reveal since I was only going a couple of MPH faster than him: I could tell from a distance that there were at least two wheels across the back, then three as I got closer. A little closer and I noticed the big "SGT. ROCK" placard, about three or four times the size of an auto license plate. Then I saw the regalia -- leather vest surrounding a rather ample midsection with a menacing, pseudo gang patch covering the back, and a long, braided pony tail dangling out from under the do-rag. Aside from the training wheels, there was something odd about the bike that I couldn't figure out until I was almost right next to him, and then there it was: a Suzuki Burgman scooter.
Then again, I always say people should ride whatever makes 'em happy, and by all appearances, he was having a good time out there.

Tassels.
I don't understand why a man would add these to any motorcycle.
The only other two-wheeled vehicles with handlebar tassels belong to 8 year-old girls.
Can't remember where I read it ...maybe TOB? or ??
Anyway,
Q: Why do Harley riders have tassels on their handle bars?
A: So you can tell that they are moving.

Bigger question is: Why do all Ducati threads have the word Harley in them?
I think thats a weird accessory.

I saw some retired Marine Corp guys riding in matching vests/patches. I'm not even insinuating that these guys were anything but tough if they wanted to be, but one of them had red and gold BRAIDED TASSELS hanging from his handlebars. I swear, it looked just like a young girl's jump rope.
