And Dusty (I finally remembered his name) put the 999 back on the market:

I like the idea of the S2R, but it looks like I may be responsible for fixing the leak in my wall.  This could take a bite out of my budget.

Not like the wiff would let me get a new bike anyhoo.  Wink

anyone in the market for a shock? too bad i'm not that heavy  Roll Eyes

http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26456

Quote
For Sale is an Ohlins DU515 3-way shock for the Ducati 1098 / 1198 / 848. This is an upgrade shock, better than what comes standard on the 1098s or 1198s. There are less than 2K miles on this shock.

The spring rate is the "34/100" Which puts it as 10Nm, or 10.19 Kg. This should be good for riders 180 - 200 pounds, IIRC.

New from Kyle this shock is $750, click.

I'd like $550 for it.

Pics coming shortly, thanks for looking.

Make a lower bid and then buy the proper spring. You never know......

And, just so you know, a spring runs about $100.00 give or take a bit.....

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.
