corbin or sargeants?

I've got Sargent seats on both bikes and really like them. They're very comfortable for one up riding (I don't normally have passengers), well made, and look good.

I've heard Corbin is/was about to go out of business unless they could find a buyer.

The corbin is a better looking seat and sits lower as stated before.

The Sargent is more comfortable and has more gizmos which I find handy.  Pull out tie down hooks and the storage cannister are great!

I have a Sargent which I kept of my previous bike to use on the current bike.
Even though the new one came with a Corbin which I think is like sitting on a surfboard.
It came off straight away and is tucked away along with the stock seat.

I like the Sargent, all the gadgets plus very comfortable.

Oh i forgot to mention....
The DP Gel seat also has tie-downs that tuck away when not in use.

And it has the same storage as the stock seat....actually i think it is slightly larger then the stock seat.
However, thread now seems to be strictly about whether a Corbin is better then a Sargent seat or vice-versa. I like my DP Gel alot, and for the price you can't beat it.

I had this same dilemma in May and drove myself crazy doing research on which seat to buy for my 06 M620. I sat on and looked at both Corbin and Sargent. I went with the Sargent in the perforated leather and red (matches the bike) welt. I LOVE this seat, took the bike from MN out west for 10 days and had NO butt fatigue at all. We did a ton of riding, our least mileage day was 250, (due to a chain & sprocket issue) and the most mileage day was 619. The Sargent in my humble opinion is a better looking and more finished looking seat and the customer service rivals Nordstroms. My local fav motorbike dealer had a Corbin that someone ordered and was prepared to sell me at cost because Corbin wouldn't take it back, but it looked rough and unfinished next to a Sargent. I truly feel that comfort is more important than how a seat looks though, and I am completely satisfied with both aspects of my Sargent. And the hooks and trunk tube are great!

I know Corbin's service stinks.  I've had similar issues.

now, does anyone want to sell me their Sargeant with a DP in trade? 

I might be interested.....
