"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I get the impression the only ties most people use round these parts are of the "zip" nature...

My insurance with Progressive was $1400 a year.
Full coverage and accessories up to $2000

I was on a foreign drivers license, they were one of the few companies that would cover me.
By far the cheapest of those that would do it.

i dont have my coverage in front of me since im still at work, but its full coverage and something like 250/350k ,  150k uninsurd... 5k medical, 500 ded. something like that. good above average coverage. and for that it was 163 last year - thats 12 months.
im going to go meet the agent monday probably and show her its not a crotch rocket or 'superbike' and see if she can talk some sense into the home office. if not I'll tell her amfam has my business until the end of the month when the Duc policy expires. sucks after 18 years.

Does USAA write Moto policies in CA? When I was in AZ and now in CT, they said they don't and said they write them through Progressive which is insanely priced for me...

When I tried to do USAA they told me they would have to do it through progressive.  I am in Nor Cal

I was with progressive with years over paying.  I heard about foremost checked it out and ended up saving a lot.  My agent helped and kept playing with the numbers on the policy to get me the lowest rate while still having great coverage.

Yes. I've heard that rumor a number of times over the last five years. I even had no streetbike for a year or two and wondered if when I re-upped for moto insurance I would be sent to progressive. Didn't happen. My insurance is through USAA.
