I'd like to take care of some "group ride" business.

First, by going on this ride you agree not to sue me. Seriously.

Also, since I'm unofficially organizing this, I wanted to ask if anyone has a problem with me asking guys to ride lead and sweep. If not, then I'll ask those people individually before announcing it.

That's pretty much it ... although, for guys who are new to group rides, here is a thread that explains some expectations that we have: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=31157.0

Argh! Looks like I'll be sitting this ride out..AGAIN. :/

But..the bright side of it is..not because the bike is down..it's to go new-bike-shoppin! Cheesy

Isn't that the same thing?

And why didn't you buy one already and then bring the new one with you tomorrow? Roll Eyes

I'm pretty much always the sweeper.  Sometimes by choice, other times by displacement.

Yeah...the "sweeper" around the pickup on a double yellow blind turn!!!  You rock like a survivor!  See you all in about 20 minutes!  DG

I had a great time! Good riding with all of yooz. Safe and spirited! That trip home on the 17 was pretty cool. I was averaging around 85 I figure, over 100 at times, AND in the back too? The dashing in and out of the lanes as they cleared, in formation, making a lot of "quacking" as we screamed by everyone on the downhill...it was great! I did have a little trouble getting myself down to a "legal" velocity when I went 51 South to the 10 though. Oh, and the turnoff at Mill was crazy! It is really, really hard to go 50 mph let alone 40 after rolling so fast.  See you all soon!  DG

I had a great time as well. It was very cool to be able to put some tags with some faces, though I am sure it will take me a few more rides to really have good grip on everyone.

That being said, this was my first real group ride and my first time up in the twisties, so if anyone has any constructive feedback on my riding style/technique or group ettiquite, feel free to PM me.

I look forward to more fun rides in the not to distant future.

YIP - fantastic day all round.
To be honest going down 17 got a little hectic at times, so I'm very glad to hear everybody made it safely home.
I had an absolute BLAST waytogo

A few miles after Camp Verde (on I-17) we started getting a lot of cross wind, and I just couldn't keep up with the group speed for the rest of the way.

If we didn't break off from you guys at Corder Jct to stop and rest I think I would have fallen off my bike from fatigue.
