ALright.. I admit it... I speed. I got my S4R 2 weeks ago.. and it's just so easy to go above the limit. What a rush I'me getting addicted. I love it....  BUT I am paranoid ALL the time. I don't want to get pulled over. Costly and embarrassing. What will I say to the cop who pulls me over for doing 90mph? .. Officer.. I'm sorry,, I just got my bike and it feels great to go at 100mph.. sorry It won't happen again. I SWEAR !!  [evil]
I must put a radar on it.. or how do YOU guys speed? When do you do it? Let's not make it a moral issue.. we all speed..  [moto]

I was doing 80mph on the freeway. Feels fast to me. Cars kept passing me up though. I clocked myself with my GPS and found that 80 was really only 72. Now I will do a psuedo 80-85 and don't worry about getting a ticket since I'm really only doing up to 75. I figure as long as other cars are passing me up I have a better chance at not being noticed by  [leo].
Is it June yet?

Riding fast is fun, but it is way more fun when going 50 feels like 100 on a twisty back road.   I guess it helps to know the road and only do it in short bursts   [evil]   [moto]

I cruise anywhere from 75 to 85 on the Freeway.
If I go any slower in the fast lane I have Cars up my Ass or they are constantly trying to pass me  :-\

On the Street I stay as close to the Speed Limit as I can.

Oh and yeah the speedo is off specially with a 14t so 80 is like 72 for me. I use my GPS for the actual speed.

For me its all about the time of the day and the road. If your coming or going from work like everone else, likely not a great oppertunity to open er up. Early morning or late evening likely a better time. Someone before me emntioned its great to hit the twisties, I definately agree. Nothing beats teh rush of coming onto a corner a hair hot (which may only be 5 miles over the posted limit), and then at least if you get a ticket its cheap (and you may even be able to talk your way out of it) as oppose to going 100 in a 70 zone.

I always say trust your gut feeling... and watch for brake lights up ahead.
About the same time you're dragging your knees through a series of tight left-right-handers on Sunday afternoon, some guy in white shoes is sweating a 3-foot putt. Go figure.

On the Highway  I rode with the traffic generally. It's on the secondary roads where I had and I say HAD the most fun and ran at whatever speed I wanted because I felt I knew the back roads well enough and that I was brave  ???  enough to outrun the " man "  [leo] and I found out that running at my speeds meant a crash that means I am not physically going to beable to ride again until next year according to my Surgeon and medical bills that so far have totaled $67,000.

On the highway, I usually keep cagers way behind me, my cousin was murdered by one, so because of this I keep a buffer of 1000 yards when ever possible - i'm usually 10 to 20 mph above the traffic speed. The LEOs here in Houston (and the surrounding environs) have been pretty aggressive so on back country roads I stick to the speed limit.

Hi-ho-hi-ho....its off to the track I go.................

I have way more fun under 40 than over 60.  Turns is where it's at.  In WA state the troopers will take you down for 6 over and not blink at your tears.  I try not to speed (too much) but engage spider-senses  every time I throw a leg over.  My number is way past "up" in this regard.

speed limit on the highway in Denmark is 110 km/h...sometimes 130...
Yesterday I tried to go over 170 with my 695 and its just hard work.
Correction...the GPS just reads 143 max  :o
Anyway its nice to do it to take over cars but I could net see me doing it more than minutes.
At least not without a hell of a fairing.
By the way, how is the little one from DP ? More than cosmetic ?
I will ride south to the alps in July...lets see how the German Autobahn feels  [leo]

I don't ride on the highway much...don't care for it.

I tend to ride too fast everywhere...I'm working on it. ;)
