So sad to see this bike in this condition.  998 final edition is high on my wish list.  Just not this one.  Maybe for $5 but not for $5,000.

the guy selling the 998 should be skinned alive and then lowered into a vat of salt....i'm just sayin

that is all
nothing follows

But it looks like the 998 comes with a $4995 steering dampner, so it's kind of worth it.

On the other end of the spectrum:

Somebody buy this before I have to start begging my wife.  Looks like a pretty good deal for a bike if it is actually in that kind of condition.

i Wouldnt buy that. You can find 999S models for 9500-10,000. Think about the better fork and shock and brakes!!!!

If you have the extra grand...that's fine.

or you could think about the possibility that a base 999 is far more capable than most of us.

You would be hard pressed to find any bike in that kind of shape for that price.  The details show through in the pictures.  Low miles and better than new condition are pretty amazing.  I do quite well with other peoples hand-me-downs.

Half price for a bike with 5k miles!

S Models are better, but buy how much.  Honestly.  When buying used, condition is much more important than accessories.

25K invested? what kind of credit score does this guy have?

Yeah, there are no red S2R's in town.    [laugh]
I promise to make better mistakes tomorrow.

That guy has 13-14k in it max.  That's if he bought it new, ext. warranty, arrows etc.
Every bike I've ever owned.

Hard to tell one way or another from the pics, but those could very well be BST's.

Nope, stock.  iPhone zoom is a beautiful thing  :)

I sent him an email ,  he (James) tells me it has over 25k into it.
I asked for details.   [popcorn]

The bike does not sell in a week, so he drops both the price and the displacement:

I will have to remember this technique when I sell my bike: "620CC OBO"

And to sell it quicker, he'll drop the milage too.
