What do you call a 2008 S4RS Tricolore that's black?
Why, a Tricolore of course.
This one stinks if you ask me.
Okay, it's eBay and not Craigslist, but still...

*****
START with a 2008 Flagship Ducati Monster S4RS Monster Tricolore...
Then the factory made five "DOC edition" examples in black with EVERYTHING upgraded.
These five got the whole $13,000.00 upgrade including black/gold scheme.
Was $33,000.00 new, double the cost of a regular Tricolore.
Factory special edition includes wrapping and hiding electrical so there's not tie wraps visible on the frame.
Even the 40+ hp Termis and chip... even a spiffy pair of fifty cent stickers saying "DOC edition" on the frame.
Supposedly these five garage queens are in movie business bigshots's garages. TC? BP?
Original owner of this example was a producer/studio exec. Have provence, cards, documentation, red key.
Bike is in northwest LOS ANGELES county.

Answers to first few questions: Yes, these DOC editions did come with original rear fender.
Bike now has OEM Ducati NON-chop fender eliminator in carbon fibre with narrower front signals.
Smaller front signals and narrower signals lights on rear installed by factory crew at ProItalia in SoCal.
"duckbill" rear fender and attached wider rear lights come with bike. So do original issue pedals
That were replaced by Rizoma upgrades. I admit I had those silly frame sliders put on and the
original long bolt IS included. This garage queen has been serviced within fifty miles of reccomended
by factory Ducati techs and is well over 1000 miles from needing the 7500 mile service. Oil Changes
were done on time and with purple. The rear tire is original, the front tire was just replaced with
closest to original now available, so I'm told. Still has nubs and reference spot on sidewall.
Any more questions, just ask.

Update 3/15/2012 / Answers to questions:
Yes, this has the non-metallic tank that a few of which had problems. There was never an issue with this tank so no issue was addressed. I was told by factory techs at Proitalia in Glendale, CA that the issues were near the end of the run when crews were in a hurry and the plastic was not cured long enough during manufacturing. The shape of this tank is about as well-formed as a new Corvette- not perfect, but as good as plastic gets. Magnetic bag mounts do not stick.
No, this bike never had rearsets. Delivered without. Threaded tabs on frame seem to never have been cleared of paint to bolt on rearset but no guarantee on this.
Break-in service perfomed on time at Proitalia In Glendale, CA and ON TIME.
Subsequent oil changes were either done at Proitalia in Glendale, CA or at Victor Rubalcava's MotoClub in Santa Monica. Both shops are very familiar with this bike. Just ask about Warren's black Tricolore S4RS.
