I am still trying to get over the fact that Ducati is making a Hypermotard.  Now Ducati is making a Hypo Motor Tard?  Hypo, as in under-performing?!?!

4 Ninja 250 for sale, was rebuilt by previous owner to run more like a 500cc bike. The previous owner said he bought if for his girlfriend and she dropped it, broke the fairings and scared herself so he just kept it as an extra bike. He took off the fairings and tach, and made a custom headlight to make it look like a streetfighter, but said it never got ridden much and had less than 3,000 miles on it, and I haven't put many on either. Ran fine when I bought it, rode it two hours home without a problem, but after messing with the battery it wouldn't run. Replaced a fuse and it ran again just fine, but wouldn't start after that. Probably needs a new battery or some electrical work, I just don't have the time or interest any more. I have over $1000 into it, but don't need it so I will consider reasonable offers. Please note the word 'reasonable'- do not offer me half of my asking price or ask if you can have it for free to work on or offer to trade for your laptop or chihuahua (yes, that's happened). I would consider partial trades only for these items: nice kayak or climbing gear. Please don't email asking about other trades, these are the only other things I will consider. Thank you.

HAHA runs more like it a 500 that is runing on 1 cylinder plus look at the "custom" welding helmet headlight HAHA

Was asking $10,000 then $8,000 but the kicker is no key that works and no titile.
The bike has been left behind by a tenet and I want to get it off my property.

The bike is in great condition, the milage is 74,000.
All it needs is a new battery and an oil change.
The key is coded so you would have to get a replacement key.

I will sign over the bike to you and give you all registration, key card so you can get the key made.

I'm only 2 1/2 hours away!!! I can just spend a few weeks trying to hunt down the last owner, get them to sign the bike over to me as an abandoned vehicle/no interest/mechanics lien and then spend a fortune trying to get the bike re-keyed (or wait three months til the owner calls me back letting me know that he can't find the keys after all). Then I fix it up, find out the motor is blown and worthless, spend the money to stick a new engine in it and then the owner will show up and claim they never signed the paperwork, they want the bike back, and I'm screwed . . . . Ask me how I know this story. C'mon pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssseeeee. Oh wait, or it could be stolen and I get dragged to jail early in the story and it goes on my permanent record as a felony grand theft auto (at least that hasn't happened)
Being an apartment manager I know that here in Washington state we can sell off tenants property if they leave it for a certain amount of time, and we send them a letter yada yada a bunch of legal stuff, but if they really just wanted it off their property and weren't trying to get some cash out of it on the side (not legal by the way, the money earned goes to cover expenses incurred by the tenant who vacated the property) they would JUST CALL A TOW TRUCK!!

AHEM, 'scuze me, while I get off my soapbox and take a breather. I just get a bit upset when other landlords make the rest of us look bad, I just do this job b/c it keeps my bills down while I am finishing my doctorate, and I think I do a pretty good job.

The Doc

PS: I really am sorry about how long this post is, oh and the total threadjack.

The most gorgeous 2004, but BRAND NEW Ducati 749S Testastretta Superbike with only 407 miles!! Yes, you read it right, only 407 miles on this bike. The bike is in brand-new condition, yellow with white tail. I hurt my wrist a long time ago and never fully recovered and as such cant take the pressure riding this baby. The 749S Testastretta is the highest performance middleweight Superbike Ducati has ever built by 2004, establishing a new approach and vision of the interaction between man, machine and the elements. At 108 hp, the Testastretta provides lightning acceleration out of corners and incredibly smooth power delivery without putting stress on the chassis set-up. Excellent torque (8.2 kgm at 8500 rpm), even at very low rpms, guarantees superb performance while making the motorcycle easy to handle in heavy traffic.
The retail price for it was $19,700 and I am selling it as almost brand new for only $12,000. This is the deal of the century!! I am located in Alpine, NJ (about 6 miles from the George Washington bridge), and you are invited to come and check it out. Please call 646-286-4386. Thanks!
