I thought you might say that.  If you like large engines with jugs that burst out of the sides then Guzzi is the right brand for you. 

I'm hoping the green Special Edition Griso with the black wheels will be a 2010 model here in the U.S.  We probably know by the end of the month if they will be bringing it over.  Hopefully they will bring the V7 Cafe Classic too.

Good one LA, I had to fight back the urge to post that one.  I didn't have a reason to other than it was a Guzzi.  I guess you showed that there never has to be a reason to post a picture of a beautiful bike.

Our best local moto shop is run by a Guzzi fanatic -- his "new" shop is fun, with all the new Moto Guzzis and a smattering of new Royal Enfields just for fun, but the real treat is to poke around in his previous location, which he's now running as a mail-order, big-water rafting supply business.  But way back in the back, you'll find both some cool works in progress like this:



I apologize for not showing the whole bike, as that's as far away as i could get & as wide an angle as I could capture in the crowded little work area that's stuffed with old Ducatis, BSAs & Moto Guzzis awaiting their turn on the restoration stand. Out back in the field are the ones that are either there as parts donors or waiting for a turn indoors:



Upstairs (which I found during a party at the place, while looking for the bathroom) is a huge, musty warehouse space packed full of this:

It's not hard.  I like customized Italian bikes, cafe'd bikes, pretty much all European bikes and so do a lot of other people on the interweb.  I check a couple of cool sites every few days.  My current favorite is the SVRider Cafe/2Stroke/Single/Twin/Brit/Euro/Cool Bike Pic Thread: http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=61824&page=480

Here is my dream version of that bike. 

The original V7's were performance bikes back in the day.  They handled well and were fast if driven correctly.  Most people let off just as the bikes were starting to make power at about 5500 rpm. Had to run em hard to make em go.

Love the looks of the new model, it's faithful to the original, but 48 HP?  Give me a break.

I've always liked the Griso, great looking bike, different & cool IMO. A properly cafe version would be totally awesome. Smiley
