I thought the last ufc on dec 27th was one of the best I've seen in years. I'm not too sure if this next one will beat. But what will make it good for me is that I will be there to see it live. Neah neah Tongue

The last UFC was definitely the best in years. The next one is in London and I'm not wasting my time on it. I was going to go live to the one when Rashad koed Chuck in Atlanta, but the company did not have enough tickets for the box.

When I said I'd be at the next one I meant ufc 94 in vegas, on jan 31. The ones in others stinky countries don't count.

You suck.  I have tickets to 96 in Columbus and the card is horrible.  Hopefully Chuck gets knocked out again and retires.

So who's ready for the GSP/Penn fight tomorrow?  I honestly can't pick who I want to win and who I think will win.  I've really liked the 3 lead up shows on Spike and we got to see a little bit of each fighter.  I guess I am hoping that BJ wins so we get to see a rubber match.

I am also really excited for the Machida/Silva fight.  I think this one could be just as good as the main event.  Hopefully Machida pushes it a little more than he did against Tito.

By the way did anyone catch the Affliction PPV?  There were a couple of good fights but all in all the fighters and production where no where near as good as the UFC.  On a pre-fight screen showing the weight, nationality and all that jazz one guy's fighting style actually said "Hood".  Come on "Hood"? What the make the beast with two backs is that? By the way he got submitted. Tito also sucked as a color commentator.   One really brutal knock out and Fedor showed that he needs to be in the UFC to fight some better fighters.  Orlovsky was pushing the fight and probably winning the round until Fedor hit him with a right cross that did not look like it could have knock-out potential.   I guess he hits harder than I thought.  I would love to see him agianst the new Frank Mir or even Lesnar in a year or so.

I know there going to be good fights, but I'm going to be a little bitter watching, knowing I could have been there live.

I share pretty much all the same thoughts as you. I really don't have any favorites in any of the fights.

I watched the fedor fight on the webernet. I like both fighters and Andrei was doing good. I'm not sure sure if that wasn't just a fluke shot. Again I watched on the internet so it wasn't very clear.

We thought it might have been a lucky shot too but we watched the replay a few times and it really was a nice counter right cross and caught him right on the button.   Looked like he was waiting for the flying knee.

Well, you actually beat me on a post M?!   Wink

I like the shows they've been doing too.  Like the HBO series they do before boxing.   waytogo

OK..it's a tough choice but I'm leaning towards GSP on this one.  Can't really say why..

Wow, kind of a disapointing PPV.  I can't believe GSP dominated Penn like that.  I do think that is better for the UFC though.  Penn having both belts would have really complicated things.

Machida is the real deal.  I see him fighting Forest next and then getting a title shot after Rampage blows through Jardine(don't understand this fight he should get a shot at Rashad next).

I like Penn and GSP equally.  I just think that Penn is way to cocky and doesn't want to put the work into to back it up.  I do think with that dominate win last night that GSP is the second best pound-for-pound fighter behind Anderson Silva.  Fedor comes in at a close third but I still would like to see him fight Mir or Lesnar. GSP just keeps getting better and better.

I think it goes beyond that, really.  BJ is insane at 155, but at 170 he struggles.  170 is not a good weight for him, whereas at 155 he is quick, dominating, and incredibly skilled.  It's not uncommon.

Machida (14-0) should have a title shot NOW, then he can fight Forrest in a title defense.
