I hope he catches the old judge with a solid left.

Any prognostications for 102?

Other than Maia / Marquardt, not too many of these fights seem worth leaving the house for.

FYI - any of you DMF'ers in Indy for MotoGP looking to take this one in, several places in town show UFC for small cover-charges.  Fox'n'Hound in Carmel and Castleton, and Hooters downtown come to mind.

Cheers.

I'm really trying to get myself worked up for this one too.  Just can't seem to get excited about it.  Could be that College Football is about to start.

Would have been better if Hammil hadn't of got hurt.

Big Nog submits Coture in the 2nd.

Agreed, don't think I'm watching this one but am extremely interested in the Maia/Marquardt fight.  Maia's jits are crazy good.

I'll be camped out next to the track, so watching this POS card is not high of my things to do that Saturday night.

It might be crazy good but hard to work jitz when you get knocked out with one punch.  While it was a great win for Marquardt don't know if we really saw anything other than he landed a great punch.  Called out Anderson after the fight, good to see someone want to take him on.

Man, I thought this PPV wasn't going to be that great and man was I wrong.  4 or 5 great finishes and an awesome fight between Nog and Coture.  Really good night of fights.  To those of you who missed it, do yourself a favor and catch a replay.

I find it interesting that Randy signed a new 6 fight deal with the UFC.  Who are they going to have him fight?  Maybe he'll drop down and fight Tito or Franklin.

I think he'd be better in the 205lbs. Top of the hill in heavyweight is Lesnar and I don't see that being competative.... then again I wouldn't have bet on him against T. Silvia either and he pulled that off.

You're right but he is also not good enough to fight the top guys in 205 anymore either.

Machida would destroy him and so would Rampage and Evans.

I would love to see him fight Hendo at 205.

Yeah, I was very surprised about that outcome.

Agreed on how good the PPV would've been, but of course it was, I didn't watch it.

Honestly, I still like the guy and he says he's "a better fighter now than ever". However he did look a little slower and ate some shots I don't think the old Randy would have. I'd be surprised to see him get to the top of the hill in either division but I think you can find more fights in the light heavy wieght division just because it's stacked so deep. Sadly he end up fighting some old grudge style matches like this one with Nog and may end up in a gate keeper to the title position. Hope I'm wrong and he's super but I don't know, sad to see athletes not know when to let go before the final fade.

I agree with you on Machida... I don't think Randy has the movement to get Machida to the ground, which I think is the only place he could have success.

As for Rampage or Evans, I'd call either of those a coin toss.  Randy'd be the cagey vet, going against younger, less-experienced versions of himself.  Evans's speed probably makes him the tougher fight of the two. Ever since Rampage lost to Forrest, Q just ain't been right...

For my $0.02- How about instead of everyone changing weight classes every two months, we pick the eight usual suspects and have an Open GP like pride used to do?

I tell you what the middle weight and and light heavy classes need to watch out for that guy Gerard Mousasi.  That dude is make the beast with two backsing bad ass.  Wins the middleweight GP one month and then destroys Babalu for the Strikeforce LH belt.

24 years old with a 26-2-1 record.

Would love to see him up against Hendo, Silva, and Machida

I was there at that fight live. Guy walked in the ring like he was going to the grocery store, relaxed like it was an everyday thing. Smashed babalu without breaking a sweat then walks out like it was no big deal. Very impressive. Wonder how long his SF contract is?
