I missed both the fight night and TUF. Hoping to get a replay of both over the weekend.

Funny thing is that we already know how they do it, just the UFC is unwilling to do anything about it.

how?

Nate is a proven cheater.

OTOH, holy shit how make the beast with two backsing impressive did Oliveira look?
1) Not being confrontational, just asking the circumstances of when and where Nate was caught/proven to cheat - I don't know his entire fight history so you may well be referencing something I'm unaware of... post links if you've got 'em 'cuz that would probably derail a lot of my support for him.

2) Not so impressive standing up... great energy and gas, poor accuracy and form (wide open after swinging pretty wildly - I was suprised he didn't get countered more often).  Did he show that he could be incredible? Sure, with quite a bit of refinement and experience.  For a guy touted for his ground game, he did show some solid kickboxing.  Wrestling and grappling?  Very strong, especially considering his age and limited experience.

Dropstharock:

Nate was caught and suspended for using steroids. I'll post up a link when I'm not on my phone.

Djrashonal:
You apply vaseline and then take a bath. Your skin is dry when you get checked but the vaseline is in your pores and is expelled when you sweat, making you extremely slippery. That's how sexyama did it against sakuraba.

Metallimonster:

Well that's just hilarious coming from someone who so ardently supports Lesnar.

Re Oliveira:

It's impressive because he has only a couple of years training standup. He has always been a BJJ specialist. And he outstruck Escudero who is mainly a striker. And HOLY SHIT the way he pulled that sub out of nowhere was amazin

El Matador

And yes, considering that the dude had just been VICIOUSLY kneed in the balls makes it impressive. I thought he showed huge heart regardless of the fact the the idiot ref wasn't giving him his legally alloted time to recuperate. He obviously wasn't ready when they restarted.

Per El Matador, I keep myself nice and slimy, so I'm going to try this vaseline trick.

Funny how Lesnar is the Champ and Oliveira is just now fighting on Fight Night cards. I love cockyness and confidence in the cage.  Silva and Lesnar have earned the right to do it.

Just watched the whole fight again. I really don't see any clowning around, unless you consider showing respect via hug clowning around?

Lol, I never said that Oliveira was at Silva and Lesnar's level, just that considering how you love Lesnar, it's funny not to like someone because he's cocky.

Showing respect to your opponent = Unbearable cockiness

Flipping off the crowd, insulting sponsors, saying you're gonna go home and make the beast with two backs your wife = ok

Something doesn't add up here....

I'm not going to get into the whole it's okay to talk shit before a fight and not after debate again.  Mir deserved it.  How about Lesnar after the Carwin fight where he apologized and said he wants to be a humble champion?

I thought during the fight that Oliveira was dancing around unecesarily I would say the same for Efrain.  Just my opinion.  I know you guys think that because I like Lesnar and don't do mma myself I have no knowledge on the subject.

Carlos- I admire your consistency.

Anyways did anyone see the Gracie documentary after TUF?  I thought it was awesome.

Nothing if not consistent  ;D

Was it a new special about Gracie? I've seen various of those, specially when he fought Hughes.

It was basically a little about his upbrining, the story of Gracie Jitz, mostly about the first few UFCs and then his impact to MMA.

I forgot how crazy those first UFC's were.  Need to go back and watch them again.  Watching that Kenpo Karate guy break his hand on the big black guy's head is hilarious.
