Rampage/Jones fight was weak

Jones controlled it and finished Rampage with a rear naked.  No other fighter has done that to him.  The guy won't be stopped for a very long time!

F*ck you Matt Hughes!!  Don't like him or Koscheck but glad to see Hughes get his azz knocked out!   [laugh]

BTW..threadjacking my own thread..   [cheeky]

Finally saw the Mayweather fight tonight.  One of the craziest bouts I've seen in awhile.  Can't blame Mayweather for finishing it the way he did after he was deliberately headbutted!

Rampage/Jones fight was weak

Why? Wasn't super exciting but went some distance and Jones gave rampage his first submission lost in his career.

huges/Koschek was a good fight.

Never know where jones fists, elbows, knees, etc will come from.  He had a foot reach over Rampage.
At times, Rampage looked like an amateur as he was swinging wildly for an opponent who wasn't there.

Dont get me started, Mayweather is a pregnant dog, what a cheap shot, yeah the ref may have called time in (well never know cause he'll never go against mayweather) but still very un sportsman like conduct. Head but yeah also cheap but its as common as a low blow, just some times unfortunate accident or caught in the moment and bad decision. Either way Mayweather was getting his ass kicked..

He's a punk pregnant dog and will dodge Pacquio for as long as he can, and if he does fight him, guarantee there will be some shady circumstances on the fight, on mayweathers side.

I agree, jones had him scared of his reach advantage. If it wasn't for his reach/kick's i think we may have seen a different fight. outcome may have been the same, but Rampage looked like it was his first fight, not the seasoned vet he is.

dirty fight on both sides.  The taping and re-taping prior to the fight was BS too.  Total head game on Mayweather's side to throw his opponent off.   The ref was a tool.  The comments to the announcer following the fight.  It was a circus all around!

Pacman would def. shut Mayweather's mouth up!  [thumbsup]

Ortiz can't throw stones...

The only hope I have for Maywether ever fighting PacMan is for Floyd's massive ego to rear up and say "Floyd, if you don't fight this guy, everyone will always say 'Undefeated, BUT he never fought Paciaio'... you won't be the greatest ever, you'll be the guy that ducked PacMan for five years and then retired."  I'm hoping Maywether's enormous greed for fame will keep him from being willing to live with an "asterisk" on his record.

The guy out-wrestled Rampage Jackson for three rounds, peppered him with straight kicks like Rampage was a heavybag with feet, and sub'd one of the most durable fighters in recent MMA history... I've got to disagree that Jones "brings nothing."

We could argue that Rampage has faded, or that he hasn't been the same since he went all crazy and led PD on a chase, but if he's fighting any of the other top five Light Heavyweight contenders we're watching a back-and-forth brawl...  Jones's control of that fight was so complete, it looked like a clinic at times.  That's not nothing.

+1 I have no idea how you guys can say he brings nothing when he completely dominated that fight. I will not go as far as to say he's ready for Silva.

How did Cotto get involved in the Mayweather being a douche discussion. Cotto is a saint. He's still trying to get his head back after the cheating douche Margarito make the beast with two backsed him up.
