....

Rampage doesn't have the patience to try and counter the counterstriker.  He does have one-punch knockout power, though.
He'd better bring a folding chair into the ring if he's gonna be planning on knocking out anybody.

Rampage gets Rashad'd if he fights this guy on his feet.  He's gotta plant Machida and grind him out if he's gonna have a chance.  If the ol' psycho, slamming-fools-through-the-mat-while-they-try-to-choke-him-out Rampage Jackson from Pride shows up, then he's got a shot.  Personally, I think success took away the little extra bit of crazy that made Rampage hungry and dangerous.  Without that, he's basically Tito circa 2007 - he's not climbing into the cage to punish you and eat your children anymore, and thinks he can win the fight trading haymakers with his "improved boxing."

Machida don't trade haymakers.

Good breakdown.  The thing is, I don't think Rampage will be able to keep Machida on the ground.  I don't know that success took anything away from Rampage; I do think that Rampage has a limited skill set which handicaps him against more well-rounded fighters like Forrest Griffin.

Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans are coaching TUF X.

Shogun Rua might be fighting Lyoto Machida for the title.  Wha?  Here we go.

So this is true, should be a good show.

Guess who's going to be one of the fighters?

You guessed it-  Kimbo Slice!   I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.  Imagine the kid who showed up the first day and had to fight Kimbo to get on the show.

I'd still rather fight Kimbo than Ken Florian, and I give away 40 lbs and 4 inches to Kimbo vs. Florian giving away the same to me.  But yeah, if I showed up for the TUF open call and had to choose between the two, I'd probably pick wrong.

It's no coincidence that Kimbo rhymes with Bimbo.

Last week, I went to a family reunion and met a distant cousin, Erin Toughill.  She says that's she's the #2 MMA female fighter in the world and is also an American Gladiator.  How cool is that?  I guess I'll learn more about this sport and follow my cousin.

Peace out and ride safe.

She's pretty good, I just saw a fight of hers on HD Net's Inside MMA.

I wouldn't say she is the #2 though.  That's probably Carano behind Cyborg.

Good luck following women's MMA the big matches are few and far between.

Dammit this thread is not the same without Sinister. bang head bang head bang head bang head

Anyways who's ready for the PPV Saturday?  I'm hoping Cro Cop gets a big win and Dana gives him a longer contract.  He certainly can add to the heavyweight division. The Kongo/Velasquez fight should be pretty good and the Franklin/Silva matchup could turn into a bloody war!

First of three really good ppvs.  Can't wait till July!!!!!!!!!! waytogo

What happened to Arlovski?
First-round pwnage... not what I expected from him at all.

UFC 99:
One of the local bars airs these without charging cover, so I've got the option if I want it.  But other than the Silva/Franklin fight, there isn't much on this card to interest me.

Never mind, the bar didn't have in on 'ciz of the time difference.

They'll have 100, which is looking solid.
