zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm not wasting my money on this one. What happened to Arlovski?

It was actually pretty good.

Hardy and Davis went the distance. Judges gave it to Hardy but it looked like it should have went to Davis (unless you looked at his face, he was tore up).

Fisher/Uno went the distance. Nothing to write home about. Fisher gets decision.

Swick v Saunders. Great fight. The UFC is usually pretty careful with letting foul language air, they want to llok all clean and professional. Kinda of like how they always cut away from the bloodied up fighter being cleaned up post fight. Anyway. At one point Saunders is just holding Swick on the ground against the cage and you hear very clearly something to the effect of: Swick 'You just gonna make the beast with two backsing hold em all night?" Saunders: "We can stand up pregnant dog!"  laughingdp The Swick knocks Saunders out.

Cro cop was back. Won with a TKO but it started with a eye poke. Al turk turned away (because he was blind) and the idiot ref that missed the eye poke (Miralgiotta) let him take several sucker pucnches before ending the fight.

Velasquez v Kongo. Holy crap. Both sides took some bombs. If Kongo would have quit going to the ground he "may" have KO'd Cain. Instead Kongo took 3 full rounds of ground and pound. props to both fighters just for going the distance.

Franklin v Silva. Went the distance. Franklin looked much better then Silva and got the decision. Silva had to cut 12 lbs. to make the 195 cut off so of course thats the excuse.

All in all worth the PPV. 100 is going to be well worth it.

I'm going with Mir over Lesnar. Simply because I have always appreciated Mir and I hate Lesnar. Lesnar is outclassed if they go the ground. All he has is size.
GSP over Alves,  Fitch over Thiago, Henderson over Bisping (who has shown himself to be quite the dick on TUF), Bonnar over Coleman, Hopefully Miller over Danzig (hate him), no preference or opinion on the rest of the card.

I thought it was pretty good PPV.  The kongo/valesquez fight was really entertaining.  Kongo had him rocked multiple times but was so gassed from getting out of the first choke that he was in that he couldn't defend the takedowns of Valesquez.  He did take a super amount of gNp though.  Same with Franklin, he had Silva rocked a few times and just couldn't seal the deal.

Obviously we all know I want Lesnar to win and think he will but Mir looked so damn good against big Nog that I'm going to say he'll win.

Sanchez/Guida fight last night was pretty good. Sanchez's flying knees and and that kick to the face in the first round!  Shocked

Guida must have the hardest chin in MMA?!  Doesn't seem like there's much behind his punches though?

Couple good fights

A decent show.  Wish some of them wouldn't have went the distance so we could have seenn some of the other fights.

Guida does have a great chin.  I can't believe he was jumping up and down after that fight when Rogan was interviewing him.

I only got a chance to watch the last fight. I hate Sanchez, but he beat down Guida that whole first round. After that head kick I could have sworn it was over, but the Carpenter got back up. Taking beatings like that will only shorten your career. He needs to get better stand up where he can at least try to avoid getting his face pummeled. I heard the Brits took the show, but did not see the other fights. I guess I didn't miss much by the reaction here.

You really didn't miss much.  Mostly decisions.  A couple of the fights were interesting.

Wilkes looks like he could be a bad man.  He submitted Dominuques ? (can't look up the guys name) in about a minute after beating him up.

That's good to know. My brother does not have a DVR, so I guess I'll have to wait for a replay.

Only a few more days!

What are your thoughts on the GSP/Thiago fight?

I say GSP only becuase I think Thiago is coming in a little to cocky.  Yes he has great stand-up but GSP has shown over and over that he can handle strikers.

Anyone watch the lead up show last night?

After seeing it I'm betting Mazagotti is not going to officiate the Lesnar/Mir fight.  Everytime I see that fight it pisses me off he stood them up twice, the first time with no warning.  Mir knows Brock can hurt him and has really been talking a lot of shit probably because he scared.  So if Brock wins, are you guys actually going to give him credit?

Henderson over Bisbing.  Henderson is just way to well rounded.  I actually really like Bisbing but he's been getting on my nerves leading up to this fight.

Really hope we get to see the Coleman/Bonner fight.  Should be a good one or at least a knockout of a former champion.

The only way Lesnar will get any credit (and it still won't make believers out of us) is if he can beat him this week and then do it again for 2/3. You'll never win us over with this M!  Wink

They'll show the Bonner fight. Damn.. can't remember the last time I've seen him, Danzig or CB fight?

GSP in the 2nd w/ a kick to the head that stuns the cocky Alves and then he is finished off on the ground.

I actually like Thiago. GSP is going to come out stronger though and..if this is possible.. even better and overwhelm him.

I agree with you IZ,  GSP will come out stronger and better.  He has shown that he always come out better for every fight.  I really don't think anyone trains as hard as he does.  Like he said about the Penn fight.  The training camp was harder than the fight.  I would like to see GSP submit him or TKO from a flying knee.

I'm hoping that we get to see a lot of the undercards.  waytogo

It's okay about Lesnar.  Once he beats Mir, they'll be no one to stop him.

A flying knee would be good.  Can't forget about those knees Alves has though!!

I'm thinking the big fights will go quick so they'll show more undercards.  waytogo
