So here is what I don't get. A guy like Mir can talk all the shit in the world before the fight, saying anything he wants about Lesnar but when Lesnar beats his ass he's bad sport for talking shit. I've never understood the reasoning behind people who think fighting needs to be this honorable and gentlemanly thing where fighters have to hug and give kudos to someone who they hate and just went to battle with. Obviously Mir was asking for it since he's been talking shit about Lesnar for 17 months and how Lesnar has no skills and is just strong. I like Lesnar for the simple fact that he does get so into the fight and doesn't act like a nice guy to someone who he hates. Lets face it, Lesnar wanted to win that fight more than anything and I don't think he should be faulted for talking shit back to Mir after he just pummelled his face. What I saw was a great gameplan and Mir had no idea what to do when Lesnar was trapping his wrist and rolling over to be able to punch Mir in the face over and over. What's wrong with Lesnar sticking to what he is good at. Seeing him manhandle and land punches on Mir at will was more entertaining than the GSP/Alves fight. I can see someone not liking what he said during the interview with Rogan but talking shit to Mir after the fight was well deserved in my book.
I loved the Henderson fight. Just like Mir, Bisbing deserved everything he got and more. Looks like Henderson is ready to fight Silva soon.

Since Sinister is not here, then I have to channel him:
That's bullshit. Mir talks smack for the same reason BJ talks smack, to hype up the fight. I have been in the ring ro battle and I have gotten in there with people I like and some that I don't. End of the day you repect what they do. He also disrespected the fans and that's even more bullshit. What should we expect from a douchebag that walks around with a giant cock on his chest? Everyone thought that Mir's skills could out outweigh Lesnar's power, but that wasn't the case. Once someone as strong as Lesnar with half the skills as Mir shows up, the cock worshiper will be in trouble.

As expected..Dana not happy with Lesnar or Henderson actions:

I don't watch UFC for controversy or acting.
but you know as well as i do they need to make it a hype up match. its always like that.
what about ali/frazer, ali did the whole arrogant thing with the monkey routine and such to build up hype he pulled stuff like that his entire career.
every football team going into the superbowl at one time or another plays up the hype of "we don't have respect" bs every single superbowl.
you can say that you dont' need this, but really the sports do need rivalry of sorts you need someone that will polarize people so that some can get behind one guy and others behind another, you always need a "bad guy" of sorts.. heck earhnhardt, sr did this in nascar for years and laughed all the way to the bank.
j gordon played the "nice guy" and laughed all the way to the bank....rodman with his "weird" routine laughed all the way to the bank he wasn't always like that but played it up to get more money and exposure, as did andre agassi early in his career with this "rebel" routine, johnny mac did his whole blow ups and yelling and such, he was a prick but he also laughed his way all the way to the bank because he was a guy that put people in the seats, deon sanders with his whole arrogant routine put people in the seats bc everyone wanted him to fail so bad..
entertaiment is part of all pro sports it gets more money so some athletes play off it.

Its hard cuz part of me says that professionals should be more...um .... professional. But then again, the majority of them are meat heads with a room temp IQ at best. Lesnar was just pathetic after the fight. Unfortunately, he makes the UFC a bunch o cash, otherwise, it would be awesome to see Dana White tell him to go back to wrestling.
Great to watch Bisbing get his head knocked off. I liked him in the Ultimate Fighter because he was quiet and had some sense of humility. I guess fame and $ caught up to him and he hasnt shut his pie hole since. Good to see him knocked out.

Not sure Lesner's sportsmanship was any less than Henderson throwing that shot when his opponent was already knocked out.
Now that is class-less.

What a knock out! Bisbing talked a lot of thrash and had that coming. WOW!!
Like I've said in the past though..back off when a guy is
clearly
out. Awesome knockout but I noticed in the highlights that was Dan's signature move, i.e.: knock out the opponent and then land a monster-pile-driving-punch on them before the ref can stop it.
Dana spoke to him too after the fight along with Lesnar. Did you check out the article?

Yes, Dana "gave them both a talking to" but deep down we all know that Dana likes this shit just as much as anyone. Anything creating controversy is good for the UFC.
I agree that what Henderson did was probably wrong but I'm still standing by my boy Brock.
I just don't think it is wrong to be so excited to win that you call your opponent out afterwards. It really seems stupid to say that you can talk all the shit you want before a fight but if you do it afterwards your a poor sport. I can't say it enough that Mir talked A LOT of shit in the lead up to the fight and was very ineffective against Lesnar. If I put myself in his position I would want to say something to Mir too. Like what now dude, you talked all that shit and I just beat your ass. I think you've got to think about all the testosterone that is in Lesnar's body and how it might take him a little more time to come down from the rush of fighting. If you watch after the fight, he is all excited, goes over and talks shit to Mir then a bunch of those guys in red sport coats push him aside. He says to them "I'm cool just give me a second" and then is noticably calmer, obviously he was jacked up at the time. I also don't agree that Lesnar just out muscled him. In both rounds he did a great job of controlling Mir's hands and putting him in the position to get rocked in the face multiple times. If Mir wins by using BJJ you would say good for him, he's doing what he does best but if Lesnar wins by using his strengths, its just because he is to big and strong. Thats not his fault. And so what if he was flipping off the fans, what would you do if you were getting booed? Seems like a normal reaction to me. Yeah, he comes off cocky in the interview but so would Mir if he would have won.

I agree.
These guys are make the beast with two backsing meatheads. They are crazy. They are loose canons.
They have aggression issues.
Why does it surprise people he went on that rampage after his win?

I always compare the sportsmanship of the UFC to rugby as I've played the game since high school. We hate each other during the match, step on each others faces and punch each other in the balls if we feel like its going to give us an advantage. We plop down a keg right on the field or go to our local bar with the opposing team right after for excessive drinking, singing and general stupidity. None the less, always a great time with the guys you just exchanged dirty blows with for 90 mins. Every once and a while though there is that team that you just don't want anything to do with after the match and simply want them to get on there bus and go home. It doesnt happen often, but it does. And that I think was the case with both the fights last night.
Really though, it's cage fighting. They are going to hate each other. The sport is mano e mano, you don't need friends to win. Lesnar and Henderson put on a good show, did what they cam to do and won a bunch of money in the meantime. I think they're both awesome and talented at what they do and have a right to say whatever they want at the end of the fight, there is still freedom of speech correct?
That Henderson knockout was make the beast with two backsing awesome.

I'm not really having an issue with Hendo blasting Bisping once Bisping hits the canvas. Every fighter in MMA follows a stunned fighter to the mat, blazing away at the exposed chin once the hands drop (unless their strategy dictates that they absolutely avoid the ground because of their opponents skill set). This is especially true of a G'n'P performer like Henderson. The alternative to not pursuing a guy you floored is letting them recover while on their back and going forward to the uncertainty that you'll catch them again later in the fight.
Watching the replays the night of the fight, it really looked to me like Henderson threw that right with his head turned away from Bisping and his eyes closed - I didn't think there was any way he could have known that he knocked him out when that punch landed. I do think that Henderson realized Bisping was out while he was following him to the canvas with the forearm already on the way, which is why Henderson just landed one and stepped back instead of pummelling the unconscious Bisping until the ref got there.
The UFC highlight reels are full of guys that are banging away at someone who is clearly out until the ref dives across the fallen fighter... that wasn't what happened here.
