^ I think I agree with you on this.  Henderson couldn't have known.  You always throw until the ref stops it.

On a kind of cool side note.  I have a buddy who travels for work and he ended up being in Hendos home town watching the PPV in the bar he goes to.  Said the place went nuts when he caught Bisbing with that bomb.

Hendo? You don't stop until the ref stops you is the first rule. Yes, if you are 100% positive the guy is out/done you stop but that may or may not have been the case here.

Lesnar: He's the perfect example of a dumb jock. He really is a moron. Whoever is saying that Dana's loves it??? Yeah, I'm sure he was looking forward to the call from Budweiser after Lesnar's insanely stupid comments. Lesnar doesn't have any class becasue of two things. One, becasue he can't seem to remember he is fighting in the UFC and not the WWE and two, he isn't a mixed martial artist. MMA practioners are taught respect and good sportmanship from the get go. I guess Lesnar missed those classes. Even in his interview he blamed it on the WWE.

Bring on Fedor!!!

If you look at the replay you'll see that he was just following up. Most guys have to be tackled before they stop. They're making a big deal because usually they don't have more than one "incident" per PPV. With 2 incidents I think Dana felt he had to get his "boys" in line.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen other poor showmanship in the UFC before and I will point it out every time. I just think the UFC is trying to position Lesnar as one of their faces and they truly don't need this BS. Also fans of the UFC don't appreciate it as the WWE fans do. When fighters get booed they usually apologize for either not providing a good enough fight or because they are booing the "desicion" not necessarily booing the fighter. The "fans" were booing Brock because he was being a dick. Poor and simple. If you act like an asshole, you get booed like an asshole. He is a meathead that is probably going to not get as much for his next fight.

As to his skills, they said the same about Hughes for a while. I see Lesnar as a Kimbo, a big draw. You also have to remember that the heavyweight division is low on talent, so he should be able to dominate for a while. And before you start pregnant dogin about "that's not true, there's plenty of competition", look at the other divisions that have a pool of talent. Name a contender that is not 40 years old or that has won a truly meaningful fight. Anyway, enough channeling Sinister.

^^ I agree with you on a few things here. Though they were booing Lesnar before he even got to say anything.

Lesnar winning creates a huge problem for the UFC.  Who are they going to throw at him next?  I'm guessing the winner of Coture/Nog but if it is Coture he'll just get dominated again.  Nog could pose some threat to Brock by just being bigger and better at BJJ than Mir but I doubt that he would beat him either.  I guess Carwin is the only fighter in the UFC that could have a shot.  Fedor is really the only person we need to see Lesnar fight.  After that, maybe Bobby Lashley.

Henderson is a punk.

From the article IZ linked:
Quote
Henderson then admitted he did it on purpose to avenge prefight trash talk. The UFC even went on to award him its $100,000 “knockout of the night” bonus. White also gave Henderson a talking to, but Henderson still said it “felt good.”

Highly debatable.

Just watched the fights on MMA-Core.

Lesnar dominated, I would love to see him fight Fedor.

Henderson looked mean, but I doubt think his stand up is tight enough to take on the spider.  He has got the power to KO him, but a little too sloppy.

GSP's take down clinic was awesome.  There was talk of him wrestling for Canada in the next olympics.  It would be cool to see how he would fair against guys that have been doing it their entire lives.

So just got some rumors through a friend.

So UFC has a press conference Friday where they could be announcing all
or some of the following:

They signed Fedor, and he's going to fight Brock ASAP.
They signed Tito Ortiz, and he's going to take Dan Henderson's spot
fighting Rich Franklin later in the year.
They signed a deal with ESPN.
They signed a deal with network TV.

Fedor has a press conference some time today, so I guess we'll know a
little more after that.

Dana's been twittering (damn I hate having to mention that) things like "Welcome Back Tito" so I would say that is a pretty sure thing.

Fedor could probably get a huge pay day in Japan so I could see him doing that first before coming over.  Maybe fighting the winner of Nog/Coture before facing the winner of Lesnar/Carwin (assuming Carwin beats Cain).

MMA on ESPN would be great.  Wilbon will be crying about it everyday on PTI.

Hmmm..

Tito back..yeah, I'm sure that's right.  What else has he done besides making movies with Jenna?

I like Spike. Not sure about ESPN and what they would do for TUF..if that's what's going on?  Undecided

Fedor..get over here quick!

+1 Fedor to the UFC.  Lesnar to obscurity by sambo armbar in less than ten seconds.

-1 for Tito's return.  205 is stocked with lots of guys that are going to give him fits.  He needs to look back on how he treated Shamrock on Ken's way out and realize that's all that is waiting for him.

Didn't he already get a spankin' from Randy?

I can see that happening again by a few of these other fighters.

How he treated Shamrock? He made him a millionaire. If Tito wasn't around Ken would not have had anyone to fight for the last couple years as his skills were not on par with everyone else. Tito did him a favor.

I'm sure TUF would stay on Spike,  ESPN wouldn't want to show all of the stuff that goes on drinking/cursing etc.  They are owned by Disney.

I would say it would mean a weekly MMA show like NFL live or whatever.

Tito really does have no where to go but down.  He ran away from Machida for 15 minutes in his last fight in the UFC.  Can't see him being much of a challenge for most of the 205 class.  I could see him fighting Franklin first and then maybe Wandy.

Regarding Lesnar/Fedor I don't think it would be that quick.  Lesnar is to strong. If Fedor can keep it standing that would be the best way to beat Lesnar.  Maybe a choke but not an armbar.

Tito? Yeah and Liddell and Machida. He needs some new skills or he won't be around for long.

Yeah for the demise of Affliction if for nothing else then Fedor coming to the UFC.

Nah. He loves to just jump onto those big guys like a spider monkey and pull them to the ground. Either way it will be an interesting fight.
