I think Shogun got robbed in his title fight against Machida.

He may have won that fight but he didn't get robbed. I always feel like if you want to be the champ you've got to beat the champ and Rua didn't beat Machida. If anything he would have got a very close split which should always go to the champ. I still say Machida did enough to win and is a better fighter than Shogun.
We'll see what happends when they fight again in May.

Agreed. You hate to beat the champ to be the champ. I did think Shogun won that fight.

Anybody think Hardy's got a chance? or Carwin for that matter? I am looking forward to Diaz v Markham.

Hardy- Absolutely not.
Carwin- Definitely
Hardy has no part of his game that GSP isn't better by miles in. If Mir comes out swinging like he did against Kongo than Carwin has a good shot. That dude has extremely heavy hands.

I slept through the Versus card... I really wanted to see Jones/Vera, and it sounds like it lived up to the hype. I'll miss 111 this weekend to see a buddy's band's record release show, but I don't see a lot of suprises on that card. The Mir / Carwin fight should be solid, and there's a couple burners on the undercard... looks like a bad one to miss.

Well Frank Mir no rematch for you. Carwin beat Mir's ass! I can't wait for a Carwin/Lesnar fight. Although he can't use the same strategy against Lesnar. Trying to keep him against the catch will be impossible. He is way to strong even for Carwin. I thought Carwin was a bigger dude but when Lesnar was in the octagon he towered over Carwin.
Oh yeah and GSP is who we thought he was. I give a lot of credit to Hardy for not tapping (twice). If GSP had the killer instinct he would have just broken his arm.

I felt pretty bad for Drwal. Other than that, not much excitement.
It seems like every time they host somewhere on the East Coast, the card is very wrestling-heavy (granted, Fitch is from Indiana, but still...). The wrestlers are very effective at neutralizing striking with takedowns and smothering guard game, but watching a two-hour card of palm-forehead-to-short-elbow techniques just doesn't do it for me.
112 looks somewhat thin as well... Silva-Maia has potential and Penn-Edgar looks like fireworks, but the rest of the card doesn't do much for me.
