Spidey beat me to, but I'll reiterate.

You said you took off all the the excess powder, but make sure you got ALL of it.

Luckily I was wrapping my forks in vinyl, so it didn't matter, but it doesn't take much to put a really noticeable scratch in them.

I think I remember someone saying it helps to wrap a piece of wax paper around the fork and slide that with the triple.  Then when the triple is roughly where you want it, it's not very hard to slip the paper out and adjust the final position of the triple.

Make sure to post pics once it's all back together.  Those triples look great with the PC.   waytogo

Thanks for the comments on Spidey's bike guys...   waytogo

The only thing I have to add is this:  Chase ALL holes on ANY parts after they're P-coated.  I broke a bolt off in a lower triple on a customers bike once.  TOTAL pregnant dog to get it out and it could've easily been avoided if I wasn't so hard-headed that day.

Oh well, I hope my experience helps someone else avoid a similar fate.  waytogo

Angler, that's the way to go for sure.  I did the same with the stock triples, but now find myself having the mod bug again.  I had a friend make these...yet to get coated black. waytogo

As far as triples go, here is the set-up that I used on my SC.  During mock-up:

And then during fitting:

When you find yourself spending more time modifying than riding, it sucks or something.
