If you've never heard of the Pizza Hacker he's an awesome street food vendor who makes napoli-style pizza in a heavily-modified wood-fired Weber grill. He also rides. I just got a message from him and he's trying to create a "mini-Italy" at 180 Capp St (Mission District) and needs Italian bikes and scooters Friday and Saturday night. He's thinking 5PM-11PM each night, but details are still a bit in the air.

Anyone interested in coming out either night? The pizza is awesome.

He had his fire at around 900F degrees. He was making a pizza a minute.

I understood it was going to be good, but I had no idea it was going to be THAT good.   bow down
Pleasantly shocked, amazed. I would say that's the best Pizza I've had in SF.

 Out of the fire, into your hand. Simple and perfect.

He cast ceramic-infused concrete into the bowl, around the sides, and on the dome. That handles the high temps. The thermometer on the top of the BBQ (which sits on top of the top dome) read around 300 degrees.

I can't believe I forgot all about it....   Embarrassed . This happens forn not checking the DMF ever Friday afternoon.
