Herm, I love that clip - actually that's exactly what I was thinking of when I typed that bit about shocking a wouldbe theif. 

If it makes you feel any better I got rear ended and the asshat just drove away this morning.

Sorry to hear that, Monster Dave.  That really sucks.  Just last week, I came out of work to find one of my bar end mirror dangling from the handle bar.  Apparently somebody walk past my bike (parked in the motorcycle parking with many other bikes) and hit the left side mirror.  The mirror (CRG style) was hit so hard that one of the metal clamp broke off.  The person had to have noticed that.  Not a note was left at my bike...  c'mon people
