hey there, so stopintime had a good idea asking for suggestions for what to do next on his bike, i'd like to do the same. compliments are nice too hehe i just finally finished this project. the bike started out as a 2001 M600 dark, black with yellow wheels, and ended up as you see it here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/43957775@N05/
note: a couple mods since these pics are a tank pad and an ohlins steering dampener. not pictured
eventually id like to post pics of the whole process before and after

Well, your bikes looks great as is. My humble suggestions would be:
Black out the chrome ring around your headlight. (Cheap and Easy).
Swap out the stock belt covers for some carbon ones. (not cheap but easy)
Drop you forks and get you triple powdercoated black. (not cheap and not easy)
-This is going to be my next big project on my bike-
Either way. Your bike rocks. But you wouldn't believe the difference in blackening out the chrome headlight ring.

Anodized forks (while they are off the bike and under rebuild)
Black ceramic coated and shortened mufflers.
Very nice bike - the white looks great.
What headlight fairing is that?

the headlight fairing is by puig. i had a set of stock mufflers cored, chopped, and black, but i just got these silmotor's. i would hate to cover up the titanium. but you are right, black would look nice...

Very Nice.
All I can think of is how quickly that chin spoiler would get abused on my dirt road.
You could rattle can the belt covers black, I might black out my headlight ring myself.

FROM MILD TO WILD!
Remove Carburettor Vent Pods (Those ugly gray things at the front of the frame)
Get brake and shift foot levers powdercoated black. Powdercoat headlight U-bracket, Headlight chrome ring to black.
Upgrade all hydraulic lines to Spiegler or Fren Tubo (or equivalent braided stainless lines)
Ceramic coat or polish exhaust header
Billet top and bottom triples
Get engine blue printed (shim/adjust all parts to factory specifications)
Lighten primary gears
Magnesium alt and clutch side covers / mill clutch housing to Corse style
Lighten, balance, knife edge and polish crank, update rods to carillo or titanium
Brace frame with 851/888 bracing
Motogadget Gauges
Reconstruct trellis frame using carbon fiber tubing and lots of ingenuity.
Titanium front axle
Titanium bolts all over
Update Rotors, front and back
Get a machine shop to make you a billet suspension hoop.
Rearsets.
Keihin FCR carbs
Hi compression and/or Big bore kit
ST2 or VeeTwo Torque or Race/Street Cams
Oversized Valves
NCR Oil cooler
Dual spark conversion
Dyna Coils
Ignitech TCIP4 Programmable Ignition
Lightweight Flywheel
Slipper Clutch
Upgrade to Radial clutch and brake master cylinders.
Gas charged Forks.
Ohlins or Penske Rear Shock
BST Wheels or upgraded front wheel to perimeter braking marchesini:
(you'd be the only guy on the block with that set up for sure).
I got carried away with ideas as you might see.
My name is atomemphis, and i'm here to get shit done. and the shit that is getting done, is helping you spend money.

thanks for the kind words guys. haha, ato memphis, i like your style.
ive never seen those wheels, and now im obssessed. damn you!! on the more realistic side of things, im def doing something with the clutch cover/pressure plate this winter, as well as suspension revamp. good call on the shift levers black. gonna do the headlight ring too. i think i'll hockey tape the forks when i have those resprung and valved, cause im too cheap to do otherwise. triples....will have to wait. dyna coils...just maybe, fcr's...wow i'd love to.

Dyna Coils was an easy bolt on mod, and I think it was well worth it.
Those wheels will be incredibly unique. SO unique, that I don't think I've ever seen them on a bike before (besides the Buell perimeter system and one custom GSXR 1k or R1 bike). That being said, any problems you'd come across would be up to you to problem solve (but everybody here would offer their advice, etc). The ebay link has them discounted an extra $200 from the original $200 discount ($400 discount total), but would require somebody to machine the brake rotor brackets for you, so the text says.
I've got loads of ideas, and a healthy knowledge of the aftermarket.

DynaCoils - easier to start, big difference in smoothness at low rpm. I'll do it again to any other Ducs around the same year I become the owner of.
That wheel, click the pictures, are on eBay - front only - is around $600 I think. Really, not that expensive as far as wheels go. BST is around $2,000.00 per wheel. Marchesini, Marvic and most other mag or aluminum wheels vary, but are close the $800-$1600 range, per wheel.
Don't forget the cost requires getting a new tire to bolt it up, and new brake lines to reach to those masters (Another great opportunity to upgrade to Spiegler lines - in the fancy color combination of your choice)

also kinda looking for some suggestions on nice looking rearsets that will allow me to keep the low mount exhaust. im a huge fan of high mounts, but after buying some rearsets (lucas) and then purchasing not just one, but 2 sets of high mounts, niether of which fit with the rearsets, im burnt out on it. i've seen some pegs with some ugly hangers for the low mounts, but if anyone knows of some decent looking ones let me know....
