Curiosity struck me, what's the most miles you've pounded out in a single day?

Me, 560 - Franklin NC to Arlington VA + a little getting lost. Not Iron Butt rated by a long shot, but it was after 1000 miles over the previous 3 days, including the Tail of the Dragon.. and it was Halloween weekend (lil chilly), for a 1550 total

How 'bout you lot?

Wow.. about the same number of miles as mine, but way harder. Impressive route.

487 miles.

That was day 4 of a 1600-1700 mile 4-day weekend. On a Sport 1000.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

We did 713 miles in a one day trip from Glendale, AZ to Montery CA. That was WAY more than enough for us. We couldn't wait to get off our Monsters after that ride.

Years ago, I did SF Bay Area to LA and back over a weekend (Friday afternoon/night down and Sunday night back).  About 400 miles each way.

That was on an 83 Yamaha Virago.

Longest day on a sport bike was about 360 miles in one day (first weekend I had my 01 ZX-6R):

Longest day on a Duc was close to 200 - but I did 450 over a 3 day period.

No map required on mine, They are some of the straightest pieces of slab imagineable.

Taos, New Mexico - Marina Del Rey, California:  900ish mls.
Albuquerque, NM - Rapid City, South Dakota:  860ish (300+ in the rain)  Sad
Nothing like some of the beautiful rides you guys are posting.
Many day rides over 500, but those are my "biggies".

Anyone here that is on ADV rider is probably shaking there head right now at us.  laughingdp

Ahhh... who cares?  Every ride is an adventure Smiley

My buddy Steve did   Somewhere?, Maryland to Albuquerque, New Mexico in one shot: 36hr. & 2000 somethin' somthin' mls. on a GSXR 1000  Shocked (He's got a 1098S now)

Edit: Oops sorry yuu, that probably doesn't count as "day" in the saddle.  More like craziest thing you've ever done.   cheeky

The guy never sleeps, so might have been a normal "day" for him.   laughingdp

I'm sure they are.. and muttering something about 'poofters'.. But hey, my Monster's got no cup holder, it's spartan, not like them farkled up bimmers.

From the Northwestern corner of South Carolina to LA.  That's right LA - lower Alabama. It's only 350 miles or so, but it felt like 11ty billion on a plank hard solo seat of a brand new 1980 Ducati 900 ss with clipons and with a badly herniated disc. at L 4/5.  I couldn't even get off when I got there - just leaned the bike against the building and my roomie came out and took me off.

I usually don't go much over whatever a Monster tank is good for anymore and that's not far at about 35 mi./gal. max.

I got a lead in my ass, not an iron butt.  Grin
