Congrats on the new ride!  There's actually a good discussion going on the ST owners listserve about aftermarket seats -- it's a good group of riders, with lots of ST2/3/4 specific experience.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/st2_owners/messages

Admittedly, the discussion so far on seats has found that some like stock, some Sargent (I like mine, but it came on the bike) and others fit Corbin best. Fortunately, there's some good info there on the respective shapes of the aftermarket vs. stock saddles.

Bike didn't want to start this am,  but finally fired up.  After it warmed up all was fine.  Later I stalled it cause I wasn't in first.   Damn thing didn't want to start up at all.  After letting it cool off a few mins fired right back up and I was off

I'm about on the Al/ Ga border now,  I should be home in 2 hours tops.  Then some pics tonight

Sounds like it has oil that is too thick for cold starts, and it may need some larger gauge wires for the starter (I upgraded mine with Powerlet cables a few years ago).

Glad you made it home, I decided to ship mine that was 1000 miles from home.  The starting issue when hot may be the bike needing a tune-up/valve adjustment.  Mine runs like a different machine after service.  Also did you notice any heating issues?  Mine was getting very warm at lights until it was tuned-up.

Headed out the door:

Pre-departure beverage:

Bored..waiting:

First stop for fuel after meeting the Houston crew:

Stopped at Mobile AL to see the old ship:

Ate food at McGuires Irish pub in Destin

Stopped at the AF museum on the way out:

Observant people will notice the missing right side mirror, which departed the bike only moments away from Herbert cycles in Baton rouge.

Even more observant people will notice the beer glass becomes a bit more full after the salad but before the steak.

Forgive the mediocre pics....all I had with me was my phone.
