Will the mirrors from a 696 (or 1100 for that matter) fit on the S2R mounts?  Do they have the same thread with one lefty?

Thanks!

What is the thread size?   I could always make adapters.

You can also buy adapters. I've seen them, but can't remember where.
Why do you consider those mirrors? Width?

I think the S2R is 10mm.

Correct it's 10mm, so they wouldn't fit without adapters.

In your opinion which "approved for road circulation" mirrors fit better on the S2R?

What do you think about these Barracuda's that will be available in December?

Those Barracudas look nice, but I think they fit a Jap bike or maybe a KTM.
Monsters need curves, like som Rizoma mirrors.

Maybe you are right, if you take a look at the catalogue in pdf you are able to see how they look on a few bikes.

And what about the De Pretto ones?

I like the look and the width.  I bought my bike used with CRG bar ends.  Never likes bar end mirrors as they are too far from my sight line.  Bought a set of stock S2R mirrors and am reasonably happy with them viz wise, but they look a tad too much like Mickey's ears.  The 696/Streetfighter mirrors are very stylish IMO.

Mickey's ears is the right definition  for the "old" Monster mirrors:)

But those of 696 are a bit "Bugs Bunny's"   Wink

I wonder if Buell has anything in their aftermarket catalogue that could be adapted.
I might suggest another Italian Company that manifactures mirrors (cheap too) http://www.far.it/indexeng.html

Much prefer Bugs to Mickey Loneknight!

Thanks for the FAR tip.  Found these from a source in the US:

$100 for a pair doesnt seem TOO bad when compared to  Rizomas which sell for over $100 each.  Best price I have seen for a new OEM 696 mirror is $90 each.

Yeah, you are right...they are being sold (new) on Ebay for about 50 euro (+ Delivery Charges)  that is 75USD  (+ Delivery Charges) not far from 100 bucks...I thought they were cheaper.
