Did you replace the original, or just trying to re seat it? The manual says to replace it every time you remove that bit...

It's too bad you had to stay home last year when we rolled in to pit stop at your restaurant last year.

Bring some more sexy back (and shamelessly show off my photo work)

That o-ring can be re-used several times.

I have a bung that I use for coating tanks that's been in and out a couple of hundred times with the same o-ring.

ok..new oring in and filler is going in much easier....now i want to murder this damn gasket at the top.  Every time i think I have all the grub screws in, the gasket pops off. Any hints?

If the gasket pops off while you're tightening the screws the bung was not seated all the way in.

I've found that just pushing down on the bung works to seat it.

It may be 'rebounding' a bit if you're hammering on it.

the 900 is still not starting. The PC seems to be working still.  Looks like I will tow it my friends shop and see what we can find. Where would be some good starting points.  My other option is taking her to my local shop who charges 1 hour labor for a diagnostic..plus they are cool. Thanks for all your help so far.

ITS ALIVE!!!!!BWWAHAHAHAHAHAHA thanks for all the help ladies & gents. I swapped out the fuel filter and fitted new plugs and wires and away we go!

the filter was fine. the plugs were carbon fouled and the wires were pretty much shot.  I noticed from a search that yuu (pun intended) have have the ole oil leak on the sidestand.  I cleaned her up, and have never noticed a significant drop in oil level...but that is next on my list.

Ah.. no spark.

I've got an oil leak? No leaks from the side stand.. I DID have a leak from where the alternator cover meets the main case, right by the clutch slave.
