I just put on a pair of competition werks pegs on my Monster. They are great and they only replace the stock pegs not the whole rearset. I got them in black and they match the bike well and they are a ton more grippy. It also brings out the pegs by about half an inch. Great buy and a simple solution to our slippery stock pegs.

I got them from Monster Parts (monsterparts.com). Jeff was great and his service is amazing.

I will post pics soon with them on the bike.

Question...

I ordered the same pegs.  Although they look like they should work, the flat mounting portion of the peg that rests the peg level is too long.

Did you have to grind your off a smidge to get them to work?  As they were delivered, the pegs will only fit on my bike at ~45 degree angle up, because they won't "seat"

Pics please.  I'm interested to see how they look - at my last track day I really noticed how crappy the stock pegs really are.

Grin  Thought I`d add my recent experience with pegs. Putting 3,000 miles on my stockers convinced me they sucked,(no grip and short). Decided to take a chance with Competition Works Pegs. Most excellent!

Jeff at monsterparts assured me that they would fit my 2008 S4rs Tricolore and they did with some fine tuning. A little file work on the seating area needed, more on the right peg than the left. Easy to do.

Stocker setting on top for comparo, (longer and better grip) Maverick was right on!

Final analysis, lov em!  Grin Well worth the fitting. Part # 1GPD3-S

Atleast I'm not the only one Smiley

I would have done that myself, but they sent me out a set of SBK pegs instead which work great w/no filing, and are only 1/8" shorter (or less).

+ 1 for MP Smiley

Jeff told me that he would send SBK`s, but I`received Monsters instead. I did not want to go through the return and wait again. I still have the impatience of youth I guess. Thanks for your prior post which guided me to the pegs to begin with.
