waytogo, and those ARE inter-changable panels that cover the actual fuel cell. If you wanted you could get a different color for every day of the week. I'm just sayin' if you really want red you can have it for relatively cheap.

You want pics... I give you pics.  But please excuse the camera phone quality.  I'll get some better ones after I install the frame sliders, rear fender removal kit and open clutch cover that should be in about a week and a half from now.

Silver just arrived at her new home in the back of my truck.

Right side

Left side

Rear

Carbon tank trim (hopefully you can tell it is carbon)

Termignoni (of course you can't see the tuner and high flow air filter)

and the Jet Skis

and the Miata

the Triumph & the DR350 & the DR350

but she made it into a temporary spot for the night.

remove the "th_" from each picture.

If you want them even larger, add "img width=750 height=600" as jim_0068 suggests

Congrats sir! Silver looks great!!

I'm really curious about a 2006 $26.000 Miata though...gold plated intercooled turbo?  cheeky

Like I said previously, I really wanted red but the silver is starting to grow on me.  Especially with the silver wheels, not sure if I like the red panels with the silver wheels. Now if the wheels were gold...

OK, you're right, now that I think about it, that was an exaggerated figure I pulled out of my head.  In fact, thinking back, it was 3 years ago because it's an '06.  The main point is, I was surprised the Ducati dealers service didn't clear my check.  I guess it's because all the banks have tightened up their lending procedures.  It wasn't a real big issue to me though since I own my own business (construction related) and have several accounts receivables in arrears.  I fact, I'll be going to court on one of those soon.

Thanks to everyone for the lesson about how to post pics.  I copied the links to the thumbnails instead of the full size pic.

yep  Wink

SWEET!!

Where did you get the rearsets?  I'd love to loose the passenger peg brackets.  Only thing I thought of is the brackets might give a little protection to the Termignoni in case of a tip over.  Maybe I can get some small sliders to fit where the pegs mount.

Congrats on the purchase!  Good call on not going with the S, in my opinion you would have to set up the suspension for your weight and get it worked regardless of what model you have.  Enjoy it and try to find time to ride it i'm sure it's tough to split your time with a garage like that!

Congrats.  Nice bike to go with the other toys.

Silver is nice, but some will contend that red is the fastest colour
That being said, you not only could swap tank panels, but since you like the silver,
you could add the red streaks like you contemplated earlier.

THAT will make it go faster, for sure!
Happy motoring!!!!!! [moto] chug
